בס”ד
If you are considering walking the path of a Noahide (a righteous non-Jew), it’s important to understand that this is a spiritual journey based on the Seven Noahide Laws.
The Seven Noahide Laws
The 7 Noahide Laws are:
- 1 The prohibition of Idolatry – Belief in G-d
- 2 The prohibition of Blasphemy – Bless G-d (do not curse G-d)
- 3 The prohibition of Murder and Injury – Guard the sanctity of Human life
- 4 The prohibition of Eating Meat that was Removed from a Living Animal – Respect Animal life and don’t be cruel
- 5The prohibition of Theft – Respect Ownership and property of another person
- 6 The prohibition of Forbidden Sexual Relations – Respect Family life
- 7 The obligation for Laws and Courts – Prevent injustice.1
These laws are universal guidelines and a moral code given by G-d to humanity, first to Adam and then to Noah. It’s important to understand that the renewal of these laws took place at Mount Sinai when the Torah was given to the people of Israel. Sinai wasn’t just about the giving of the Ten Commandments—the Jewish law—but also about confirming the Seven Noahide Laws and securing them in the Torah.2
Begin with a Reliable Source
We are so glad you’ve found our website and are reading this blog! We hope it helps guide you in your journey toward a deeper understanding of the Seven Noahide Laws. Our mission is to provide reliable and valuable information so that you can follow your spiritual path as a Noahide in a conscious and informed manner.
It’s essential to find trustworthy information, especially considering the vast number of resources on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Not all information available on these platforms is based on authentic Orthodox Jewish knowledge. Therefore, it’s important to lay a solid foundation of knowledge by obtaining it from reliable and authoritative sources, from Orthodox rabbis specializing in guiding Noahides.
A great starting point is the booklet Go(o)d for You, published by Ask Noah International. This book provides a valuable introduction to the Noahide Laws and helps you build a strong foundation. Additionally, the Ask Noah website offers excellent and approved information that aligns with Orthodox Jewish traditions.
Another valuable resource is Rabbi Tuvia Serber’s app, Bnei Noaj, which offers explanations of the laws and practical advice on how to apply them in daily life. We also invite you to visit our YouTube channel, with among others classes from Rabbi Tani Burton, Rabbi Tovia Singer, Rabbi Menachem Salasnik or the Youtube channel of Rabbi Tuvia Serber where trustworthy content is shared about Noahide laws, all presented by Orthodox rabbis specializing in guiding Noahides. We hope it will contribute to your growth and understanding.
More than anything, these resources can help you find clarity, inner peace, and purpose in your everyday life. By learning and applying these values, you’ll begin to see positive changes in how you relate to others, handle challenges, and understand your own identity.
Take Your Time
Be patient with yourself and take time for spiritual growth. Many Noahides come from a Christian background and will undoubtedly have many questions about their former faith. It’s perfectly normal for it to take time to find answers to these questions. Rabbi Tovia Singer’s books, such as Let’s Get Biblical, and his YouTube channel are excellent resources for finding answers. They provide clear explanations of the differences between Judaism and other faiths, helping you further on your path to understanding.
It’s also unnecessary to understand or learn everything about the new Noahide lifestyle all at once. Start with the basics: belief in One G-d. This is the foundation upon which everything is built. From there, you can gradually continue on your journey at your own pace. The Seven Noahide Laws form the basis for a righteous life, and they require you to take responsibility for your actions and choices. The focus is not on chasing additional laws or rules but on deeply understanding and adhering to the fundamentals. Once you understand and apply these, you’ll find that your spiritual growth will come naturally.
You may notice greater personal harmony, better relationships, and a deeper sense of purpose as you align your life with timeless, ethical values. This isn’t only about the future—it’s a powerful transformation you can feel now.
The Journey of Becoming a Conscious Noahide
This journey is not always easy, but with patience and perseverance, you will not only grow in knowledge but also in wisdom and spiritual awareness.
We invite you to take steps today on your Noahide path. Begin by reading the recommended books, find a study partner, and connect with a community that supports your journey.
The journey to becoming a conscious Noahide is one of continuous growth and self-discovery. It’s important to understand that it’s not necessary to grasp everything at once. Give yourself the space to progress step by step. Explore the Seven Laws and see how you can integrate them into your everyday life, always with a practical approach. Take time to deepen your knowledge, grow in understanding, and gradually embrace the principles of this lifestyle. It is a process, and patience is a crucial part of that journey.
Even small changes—being honest, respectful, and thoughtful in your actions—can create peace in your family, your work, and your community.
Find a Study Partner or Mentor and Connect with Other Noahides
An important step on your path as a Noahide is finding someone with whom you can explore this path together. Whether it’s another Noahide who is further along in their studies or a mentor with experience, having a study partner can significantly help deepen your knowledge and answer your questions. Asking questions and discussing your discoveries can help you dig deeper into the meaning and application of the Seven Laws.
Additionally, it’s valuable to join a group of like-minded people. There are online communities of Noahides worldwide who gather to study, support each other, and share experiences. As a group, we warmly invite you to join our community, where we embrace you with open arms and continue to explore the principles of the Seven Laws together.
Finding a personal rabbi is also essential. A rabbi can help answer personal questions and guide you in applying the laws in your daily life. A rabbi provides not only spiritual guidance but also helps you grow in your knowledge and understanding of the Torah, specifically focused on the Seven Noahide Laws for non-Jews.
Be Thoughtful in Conversations and Be Patient with Yourself
Especially at the beginning, it can be challenging to communicate your new path since the people around you may not understand or might find your choices strange. You may be confronted with questions or comments you don’t always have answers to. It’s important to recognize that you don’t need to have an answer for everything right away. It’s perfectly acceptable to say that you don’t know something because you’re still in the process of learning and researching.
Avoid unnecessary debates. The ultimate goal is to be an example through your actions, not by trying to convince others of your choices. By staying patient and calm, without forcing the issue, you will find that your new path naturally garners more understanding and respect.
Why Choose the Noahide Way?
You might be wondering: why is it important to be a righteous non-Jew? The message of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, is that it truly makes a difference.
But even beyond the spiritual future, the Noahide path offers meaning, stability, and ethical clarity in a confusing world. It connects you to a universal moral code that brings order to your life and helps you contribute positively to society.
According to the prophecies in the Hebrew Bible, the messiah will bring a time of peace and justice, and he will return the world to the spiritual state of the original Noahide law, where the Seven Laws of Noah form the guiding principle for all of humanity.
This law of Noah is a fundamental principle for humanity, and adhering to it will ultimately prepare the world for the coming of the Messiah, who will bring peace and justice.
The Rebbe emphasized that while Jews have the unique privilege of receiving the full Torah, the desire of non-Jews to understand and live by Torah teachings is a holy and worthy pursuit. In Zechariah 8:23, it is prophesied that in the time of the Messiah, the nations of the world will come together, seeking truth:
23 Thus saith the L-RD of hosts: In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you, for we have heard that G-d is with you.’ |
This prophecy speaks of a time when the nations will seek the wisdom of the Torah and will want to connect with the Jewish people, recognizing that G-d is with them. The Jewish people will teach the nations the Seven Noahide Laws in depth.
Furthermore, as prophesied in Zephaniah 3:9, in the time of the Messiah, the world will speak in one united voice and recognize the wisdom of G-d. Redemption will not only concern the Jews but all of humanity. As the Rebbe said, “By strengthening our understanding of Torah, we prepare ourselves and the world for the Messiah. When a righteous non-Jew adheres to the Seven Laws, they help hasten the coming of the Messiah.”
Noahides can play a crucial role by applying the Seven Laws and encouraging others to do the same. As the Rebbe teaches, this is not just a personal journey, but a contribution to the greater mission of uniting the world and living in peace under the reign of the messiah.
Conclusion
The journey to becoming a Noahide is one of growth, learning, and spiritual development. By embracing the Seven Noahide Laws, you bring more meaning, purpose, and peace into your daily life, and you are helping to bring about the time of peace and unity, as prophesied. With patience, dedication, and community support, you will walk this path of righteousness and contribute to the world’s redemption.
Start today not just for the future, but because your life can already be better now—more peaceful, more focused, and more in harmony with your true purpose.
