Das g\u00e4ngige kulturelle Bild der H\u00f6lle ist eher eine Mischung aus antiken Weltanschauungen, die D\u00e4monen, Unterwelten und H\u00f6llenfeuer beinhalten. Vieles davon hat keine Wurzeln in der j\u00fcdischen Lehre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Tora lehrt \u201c\u05d0\u05d9\u05df \u05e2\u05d5\u05d3 \u05de\u05dc\u05d1\u05d3\u05d5\u201d (ein od milvado) \u2013 es gibt niemanden au\u00dfer Gott. Das bedeutet, dass die in anderen Religionen verbreitete Dualit\u00e4t von Gut und B\u00f6se eine Illusion ist. Gott ist vollkommen gut, und alles, was er tut, ist gut. Auch wenn uns die Dinge in getrennte Kategorien eingeteilt erscheinen m\u00f6gen, wird letztlich alles von Gott gelenkt. Die Vorstellung eines rebellischen Engels, der seine eigene Macht erschafft, wie sie in anderen Traditionen zu finden ist, steht im Widerspruch zum j\u00fcdischen Glauben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Judentum kann die Offenbarung von Gottes Einheit und Herrlichkeit auf zwei Wegen erfolgen: durch die Belohnung der Gerechten oder durch die Bestrafung der B\u00f6sen. Beide Ergebnisse dienen der Heiligung von Gottes Namen. Ob jemand f\u00fcr gute Taten belohnt oder f\u00fcr Fehlverhalten bestraft wird, beide Wege bekr\u00e4ftigen Gottes Gerechtigkeit und Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es gibt also keine wirkliche Dualit\u00e4t in der Sch\u00f6pfung. Sollte es eine Strafe nach dem Tod geben, so ist sie nicht dazu gedacht, einen Menschen ewig zu qu\u00e4len. Vielmehr kennt das Judentum ein Konzept, das dem Fegefeuer \u00e4hnelt. Diese Phase wird als ein Prozess verstanden, in dem ein Mensch von dem Schaden gereinigt wird, den er zu Lebzeiten angerichtet hat. Auch wenn diese Zeit mit Leiden verbunden sein mag, ist sie letztlich eine Form der Wiederherstellung, vergleichbar mit der sorgf\u00e4ltigen Restaurierung eines alten Gegenstands. Der Gedanke der Erneuerung ber\u00fchrt uns Menschen zutiefst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strafe, ob in dieser Welt oder im Jenseits, dient dazu, den Menschen in seinen urspr\u00fcnglichen Zustand zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren, nicht ihn ewiger Qual auszusetzen. Das Ziel ist nicht endloses Leiden, sondern L\u00e4uterung. Alles kommt von Gott, und alles zielt darauf ab, uns zu Ihm zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wie es in Psalm 139 hei\u00dft: \u201cSteige ich hinauf zum Himmel, so bist du da; bette ich mich in die Tiefe, so bist du auch da.\u201d Dies verdeutlicht, dass Gott allgegenw\u00e4rtig ist, sowohl in den h\u00f6chsten H\u00f6hen als auch in den tiefsten Tiefen. Die Vorstellung, es g\u00e4be Orte oder Situationen, in denen Gott nicht anwesend sei, ist schlichtweg falsch.
