Es ruft den Menschen dazu auf, seinem Sch\u00f6pfer nachzueifern, wie Maimonides erkl\u00e4rt: \u201cEr hat uns geboten, Ihm, gepriesen sei Er, nach besten Kr\u00e4ften nachzueifern.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wie kann man Gott nacheifern? Indem man sich die Charaktereigenschaften des Heiligen, gepriesen sei Er, aneignet: \u201cWie der Heilige, gepriesen sei Er, gn\u00e4dig genannt wird, so sollt auch ihr gn\u00e4dig sein; wie der Heilige, gepriesen sei Er, barmherzig genannt wird, so sollt auch ihr barmherzig sein.\u201d Dies sind die Eigenschaften, die sich in Taten der G\u00fcte, der Barmherzigkeit, der N\u00e4chstenliebe und der Hilfe f\u00fcr die Armen und Bed\u00fcrftigen zeigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obwohl \u201cIhr sollt in seinen Wegen wandeln\u201d nicht zu den sieben ausdr\u00fccklich verpflichtenden Geboten der Noachidischen Kirche geh\u00f6rt, ist es f\u00fcr sie eine bedeutsame Pflicht. Taten wie G\u00fcte, Krankenbesuche und die Beistandschaft f\u00fcr Trauernde erhalten durch dieses Gebot eine tiefere Bedeutung. Sie werden so zu mehr als blo\u00dfen guten Taten; sie werden zu einem Weg der Selbstverleugnung, auf dem wir unser Ego zur\u00fcckstellen, um uns dem Willen des Sch\u00f6pfers anzupassen und somit in seinen Wegen zu wandeln.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Gebot \u201cIhr sollt in seinen Wegen wandeln\u201d lehrt, dass Freundlichkeit nicht nur eine menschliche Pflicht ist, sondern ein Weg, dem Sch\u00f6pfer nachzueifern. Indem man in seinen Wegen wandelt, lernt man, Gutes zu tun. Dadurch erf\u00fcllt man den h\u00f6chsten Zweck seiner Sch\u00f6pfung: an der Vervollkommnung der Welt mitzuwirken und Gottes Ehre zu mehren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gott, dessen Gr\u00f6\u00dfe und Unendlichkeit f\u00fcr den Menschen unbegreiflich sind, schenkt jedem die M\u00f6glichkeit, ihm nachzueifern und seinen Weg zu gehen. Im Vorfeld von Rosch Haschana, dem Fest, an dem alle Gesch\u00f6pfe f\u00fcr ihre Taten gerichtet werden, wird die tiefe Bedeutung unseres Handelns deutlich.
