Los jud\u00edos aprecian una profunda reverencia por el Nombre(s) de Dios, una reverencia arraigada en la esencia de su fe. \u00c9xodo 20:7<\/a>, leemos el mandamiento:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evitar la frivolidad en el uso del Nombre de Dios va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de simplemente abstenerse de jurar fr\u00edvolamente usando Su Nombre, como algunos sugieren. Es un llamado profundamente arraigado a tratar Su Nombre con respeto y reverencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maim\u00f3nides, destacado erudito de la tradici\u00f3n jud\u00eda, aclara que evitar la frivolidad en el uso del Nombre de Dios proviene de un profundo sentido de respeto y reverencia. Este respeto constituye la base de la vida jud\u00eda y se extiende a todos los aspectos de la interacci\u00f3n con el Nombre de Dios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este enfoque respetuoso del Nombre de Dios se aplica no s\u00f3lo a las palabras habladas sino tambi\u00e9n al lenguaje escrito. Deuteronomio 12:3-4<\/a> instruye que el Nombre (hebreo) de Dios no debe ser borrado. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Escribir el Nombre de Dios con un guion es una expresi\u00f3n de respeto y precauci\u00f3n. Significa la intenci\u00f3n de proteger el Santo Nombre de un uso involuntario o irreverente, incluso en los contextos m\u00e1s cotidianos. Sin embargo, la opini\u00f3n rab\u00ednica com\u00fan permite escribir "Dios" en otro idioma sin problema. En Sukkat Shalom, optamos por usar el guion por respeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La profunda reverencia por el Nombre de Dios se aplica a todas las personas, como es evidente en las Leyes No\u00e1jidas, donde el segundo mandamiento nos instruye a no blasfemar Su Nombre y a acercarnos a \u00c9l con respeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este acercamiento al nombre divino hay una profunda lecci\u00f3n espiritual para todos nosotros: un recordatorio de la santidad y la grandeza de lo divino y un llamado a una vida imbuida de respeto, reverencia y amor por el Creador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
