En N\u00fameros 21:5-7<\/a><\/strong>nos encontramos con un momento dram\u00e1tico en la traves\u00eda del pueblo de Israel por el desierto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El pueblo se queja amargamente contra Di-s y Mois\u00e9s, lo que provoca una consecuencia r\u00e1pida y dolorosa: serpientes ardientes enviadas como castigo divino. Sus palabras reflejaban ingratitud y falta de fe. A pesar de ser testigos de los milagros y cuidados de Di-s, rechazaban Su providencia y cuestionaban Su liderazgo. Esto no era s\u00f3lo una queja - era una ofensa espiritual enraizada en la desconfianza y la falta de respeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las Serpientes: M\u00e1s que un castigo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Como consecuencia directa, Di-s envi\u00f3 \"serpientes ardientes\"<\/strong> para morder al pueblo, y muchos perecieron. El simbolismo aqu\u00ed es potente: el primer ser que habl\u00f3 mal de Di-s fue la serpiente en el Jard\u00edn del Ed\u00e9n. En lugar de rezar directamente a Di-s, se dirigieron a Mois\u00e9s, confiando en su m\u00e9rito y estatura espiritual. Or HaChaim<\/strong> explica que el perd\u00f3n se concede m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente antes de<\/em> castigo que despu\u00e9s - pero aun as\u00ed, depositaron su esperanza en la compasi\u00f3n y la influencia de Mois\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mois\u00e9s fabric\u00f3 una serpiente de bronce y la mont\u00f3 en un poste alto. Este objeto no ten\u00eda ning\u00fan poder inherente. La curaci\u00f3n no proced\u00eda de la imagen, sino de mirando hacia arriba<\/strong> - un giro simb\u00f3lico del coraz\u00f3n hacia Dios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incluso cuando somos \"mordidos\" por nuestras debilidades interiores, la restauraci\u00f3n es posible. La curaci\u00f3n viene a trav\u00e9s del reconocimiento sincero de nuestra dependencia de Di-s y un humilde retorno a \u00c9l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflexiones sobre la misericordia de Dios<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Di-s responde a la plegaria de Mois\u00e9s no con ira, sino con gracia, misericordia y paciencia. Al igual que Di-s, tambi\u00e9n Mois\u00e9s muestra un esp\u00edritu de perd\u00f3n y amor, a pesar de ser el blanco de las quejas del pueblo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estamos llamados a reflejar estas cualidades divinas. As\u00ed como Dios es lento para la ira, misericordioso e indulgente, as\u00ed debemos ser nosotros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Siguiendo los caminos de Dios<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

En Lubavitcher Rebe<\/strong> ense\u00f1a que el comportamiento de Mois\u00e9s es un poderoso modelo de c\u00f3mo debemos vivir. El perd\u00f3n no debe ofrecerse a rega\u00f1adientes o por mera obligaci\u00f3n. El perd\u00f3n verdadero y sanador proviene del coraz\u00f3n, del deseo de emular el car\u00e1cter de Dios y crear paz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando perdonamos sinceramente y rezamos con fervor por los dem\u00e1s, abrimos el canal para las bendiciones de Di-s -tanto espirituales como materiales- en nuestras propias vidas. El ejemplo de Mois\u00e9s crea un hermoso ciclo espiritual: perd\u00f3n, oraci\u00f3n y curaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Este modelo fortalece a las personas, a las comunidades e incluso al mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusi\u00f3n: Una lecci\u00f3n eterna y un modelo de la humildad de Mois\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

El episodio de las serpientes en el desierto es mucho m\u00e1s que un relato hist\u00f3rico. Aunque las serpientes introducen el drama, es la respuesta compasiva y humilde de Mois\u00e9s la que encierra la mayor lecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sirve de par\u00e1bola espiritual sobre el pecado, el arrepentimiento, la humildad y la redenci\u00f3n. Tanto Di-s como Mois\u00e9s demuestran el poder de la misericordia, y nos invitan a unirnos a ellos en esa obra divina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Que, como Mois\u00e9s, aprendamos a reconocer nuestras faltas, a perdonar a los dem\u00e1s con el coraz\u00f3n abierto y a rezar por la curaci\u00f3n de todos, pues al hacerlo acercamos la redenci\u00f3n de Dios, tanto en nuestras vidas como en el mundo que nos rodea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I understand it, Bnei Noach are meant to pray directly to G-d and do not need to appeal to another human being to intercede.

That\u2019s a very thoughtful and important question. You\u2019re absolutely right that Bnei Noach \u2014 just like anyone \u2014 can and should pray directly to G-d. There is no obligation to go through another person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The example in the article, where the Israelites appealed to Moses, doesn\u2019t imply that they were forbidden to pray themselves. Rather, they turned to Moses because of his extraordinary spiritual merit and closeness to G-d, asking him to intercede on their behalf. They believed his prayers might be more effective \u2014 not instead of their own prayers, but in addition to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same way, when someone approaches a great rabbi today, it\u2019s not because the rabbi is expected to solve everything for them. Instead, the rabbi can offer prayers or blessings, but the individual must still do their own part \u2014 through personal prayer, effort, and spiritual growth. That way, they create a proper \u201cvessel\u201d to receive the blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So yes \u2014 Bnei Noach certainly pray directly to G-d. Seeking the prayers of a spiritually elevated individual is not a replacement for one\u2019s own connection to G-d, but a supplement to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
