Maim\u00f3nides escribe que durante estos diez d\u00edas, el arrepentimiento y la oraci\u00f3n son \u201cde lo m\u00e1s bellos y se aceptan de inmediato\u201d. Por otro lado, el Shabat es un d\u00eda de alegr\u00eda y gozo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La esencia del Shabat Shuva radica en la uni\u00f3n de estas dos ideas: el arrepentimiento, por un lado, y el gozo y la alegr\u00eda, por el otro. Esta uni\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n se insin\u00faa en la porci\u00f3n semanal de la Tor\u00e1, llamada \u201cVayelech\u201d, que significa \u201cY se fue\u201d. El significado de \u201cirse\u201d es abandonar el lugar actual y avanzar hacia otro. Esta es la esencia de la teshuv\u00e1: una persona deja atr\u00e1s su estado anterior y entra en una realidad nueva y diferente. Como describe Maim\u00f3nides, un penitente debe sentirse como \u201cuna persona distinta, no como quien realiz\u00f3 esos actos\u201d. Por lo tanto, \u201cVayelech\u201d es la obra del arrepentimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esto plantea la pregunta: \u00bfC\u00f3mo es posible combinar estos dos sentimientos aparentemente contradictorios? Despu\u00e9s de todo, el arrepentimiento, en el que uno lamenta sus malas acciones, deber\u00eda causar tristeza y amargura. No hay mayor gozo que liberarse del dominio de la propia inclinaci\u00f3n al mal. De la misma manera, cuando una persona regresa a Dios y se une nuevamente a \u00c9l, experimenta una felicidad y un gozo infinitos. Es una poderosa met\u00e1fora del camino espiritual del arrepentimiento. Este es un arrepentimiento superior, que surge de un gozo inmenso.
