En esta porci\u00f3n, Dios le ordena a Abram que abandone su tierra natal y se dirija a una tierra que \u00c9l le mostrar\u00e1: \u201cSal de tu tierra, de tu tierra natal y de la casa de tu padre, a la tierra que yo te mostrar\u00e9\u201d (G\u00e9nesis 12:1). La obediencia de Abraham demuestra fe y confianza en las promesas de Dios, incluso sin conocer el resultado final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras la gran victoria de Abram sobre los cuatro reyes, Hashem le dijo: \u201cNo temas, Abram... tu recompensa ser\u00e1 muy grande\u201d. Esto explica por qu\u00e9 Abraham se preocupaba por su recompensa. Quer\u00eda recibirla para que otros vieran que la fe en Dios es el camino verdadero. La preocupaci\u00f3n de Abraham no era por s\u00ed mismo, sino por el honor del Cielo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La recompensa divina puede expresarse de muchas maneras. Puede significar abundancia material, riqueza, \u00e9xito familiar o recompensa espiritual eterna en el Mundo Venidero. El Creador cre\u00f3 el mundo para otorgar el bien a sus creaciones, y la naturaleza del bien supremo es otorgar. Sin embargo, existe un nivel superior: servir a Dios por el bien del Cielo, sin esperar recompensa personal. Esta es una etapa superior en el servicio a Hashem, y cuando uno sirve sin esperar recompensa, la recompensa por dicho servicio se vuelve infinitamente mayor que servir por la recompensa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al luchar contra la idolatr\u00eda generalizada de su \u00e9poca, Abraham no fue muy popular.
