Mir\u00f3 a un lado y a otro, y al ver que no hab\u00eda nadie, mat\u00f3 al egipcio y lo escondi\u00f3 en la arena\u201d (\u00c9xodo 2:11-12). Esto plantea una pregunta dif\u00edcil: \u00bfCu\u00e1l era la justificaci\u00f3n legal para matar a un hombre simplemente por golpear a otra persona?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Guemar\u00e1, en el Tratado Sanhedr\u00edn 58b, opina que un gentil que golpea a un israelita es pasible de castigo. La acci\u00f3n de Mois\u00e9s se bas\u00f3 legalmente en este principio. Adem\u00e1s, el Midrash (Midrash Aggadah Buber, Shemot 2:11) narra que el egipcio tambi\u00e9n cometi\u00f3 un acto prohibido con la esposa del jud\u00edo al que golpe\u00f3: la hab\u00eda visto y, durante la noche, sac\u00f3 al esposo de su casa; luego, regres\u00f3 a la casa y le prohibi\u00f3 tener relaciones sexuales con esta mujer casada, mientras ella cre\u00eda err\u00f3neamente que era su esposo. Mois\u00e9s actuaba como juez o ejecutor de la ley en un lugar donde no hab\u00eda \u201cning\u00fan hombre\u201d (nadie m\u00e1s dispuesto a defender la justicia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los acontecimientos que precedieron al nombramiento de Mois\u00e9s como l\u00edder dan testimonio de su car\u00e1cter singular y del fuego de la verdad que ard\u00eda en su interior: fue al encuentro de sus hermanos para presenciar su sufrimiento de primera mano; mat\u00f3 a un capataz egipcio (quien era castigado con la muerte bajo la ley no\u00e1jida) por golpear a un israelita; intervino en una disputa entre dos hebreos para establecer la paz; y cuando se vio obligado a huir a Madi\u00e1n, su primera acci\u00f3n all\u00ed fue proteger a las hijas de Jetro de los pastores acosadores. Mois\u00e9s podr\u00eda haber vivido una vida de lujo y esplendor como pr\u00edncipe en la mayor superpotencia del mundo. El fara\u00f3n, quien gobernaba el mundo, lo hab\u00eda nombrado al frente de toda su casa. Hab\u00eda una gran probabilidad de que, tras la muerte del fara\u00f3n, Mois\u00e9s hubiera heredado el trono y el liderazgo del mundo entero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, la inmensa riqueza del palacio del Fara\u00f3n no confundi\u00f3 a Mois\u00e9s. \u00c9l aspiraba a la Verdad Divina.
