La tribu de Lev\u00ed, elegida para servir a Dios, no formaba parte de los israelitas. Eran responsables del cuidado del tabern\u00e1culo, transport\u00e1ndolo durante las traves\u00edas de los israelitas por el desierto y coloc\u00e1ndolo en cada lugar. Su funci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n consist\u00eda en proteger el tabern\u00e1culo de la entrada de extra\u00f1os que no eran dignos de entrar en el lugar santo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al final de Hiljot Shemit\u00e1 y Yovel, Maim\u00f3nides (Cap\u00edtulo 13, Halaj\u00e1 13) habla de c\u00f3mo toda persona, no solo de la tribu de Lev\u00ed, puede llegar a ser santa y convertirse en siervo de Dios como la tribu de Lev\u00ed si tan solo as\u00ed lo decide: \u201c\u2026y la tribu de Lev\u00ed no est\u00e1 sola, sino todos los habitantes del mundo, a quienes Su Esp\u00edritu ha escogido y a quienes \u00c9l ha comprendido Su conocimiento de ser apartados para estar delante del Se\u00f1or para servirle y conocer al Se\u00f1or, y \u00e9l elimin\u00f3 los pensamientos de las multitudes que los hijos de los hombres buscaban; por lo tanto, lleg\u00f3 a ser el m\u00e1s santo, y el Se\u00f1or le dar\u00e1 porci\u00f3n y herencia por los siglos de los siglos\u2026\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maim\u00f3nides afirma que la santidad no depende del linaje familiar (como en el caso de los sacerdotes o levitas), sino de la libre elecci\u00f3n y la devoci\u00f3n espiritual. La generosidad de coraz\u00f3n es el elemento central en el servicio a Dios Todopoderoso. Quien elige servir a Dios y se aparta de las vanidades de este mundo, alcanza el nivel m\u00e1s elevado de servicio divino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo puede un no\u00e1jida alcanzar esto? Maim\u00f3nides enumera varias condiciones. Todo comienza con la entrega voluntaria del coraz\u00f3n para servir al Creador. Utilizar la raz\u00f3n y el conocimiento para comprender la infinita grandeza del Hashem y cu\u00e1l es su voluntad para nosotros. Eliminar la \u201ccarga de muchas cuentas\u201d es quiz\u00e1s el mayor desaf\u00edo. El mundo material produce un ruido de fondo constante: la b\u00fasqueda de riqueza, honor y vanidades pasajeras. Uno debe filtrar este \u201cruido\u201d, dejar de ser esclavo de los c\u00e1lculos de supervivencia material y liberarse para la tarea m\u00e1s elevada. Este mensaje sirve como preparaci\u00f3n para la festividad de la entrega de la Tor\u00e1. Interiorizar y aplicar el mensaje solo es posible al aceptar el yugo de la Tor\u00e1 y sus mandamientos dados en el Monte Sina\u00ed: los Siete Mandamientos para los hijos de No\u00e9 y los 613 Mandamientos para el pueblo de Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando un no\u00e1jida acepta los Siete Mandamientos no solo como una ley \u00e1rida, sino por generosidad de esp\u00edritu y el deseo de presentarse ante Dios y servirle, se asemeja a la tribu de Lev\u00ed. Maim\u00f3nides subraya que este derecho est\u00e1 abierto a todos. El derecho a guardar los Siete Mandamientos encierra un enorme potencial.
