Bamidbar – Everyone Can Follow G-d
In this part of the Torah, we learn about the tribe of Levi.
The Levites helped take care of the tabernacle, the special place for serving G-d.
But Maimonides teaches something very important.
He says that not only Levites can be close to G-d.
Anyone can choose to follow G-d.
Also a Noahide.
G-d looks at the heart.
If someone wants to do good, be kind, and listen to G-d, that is very special.
A Noahide follows G-d by keeping the Seven Commandments.
Not only because of rules, but because he loves G-d and wants to do what is right.
This can be hard sometimes.
The world is full of distractions.
People may think only about toys, money, or being important.
But we can choose better things.
We can help others.
We can tell the truth.
We can pray and thank G-d.
Par exemple:
If a child sees someone sitting alone and kindly invites them to play, that makes G-d happy too.
Maimonides says that people who choose goodness and follow G-d become very special.
Just like the tribe of Levi.
G-d’s door is open to everyone who truly wants to follow Him.
