(1)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#039;un des v\u00eatements du Kohen Gadol (Grand Pr\u00eatre) \u00e9tait le&nbsp;<em>Me&#039;il<\/em>, une robe orn\u00e9e de clochettes qui tintaient \u00e0 chaque pas du Grand Pr\u00eatre. Le Talmud, dans Arachin, explique comment tous les&nbsp;<em>Kohen Gadol<\/em>\u2018Les v\u00eatements de l&#039;\u00c9ternel expiaient un p\u00e9ch\u00e9 particulier ; la robe expiait le p\u00e9ch\u00e9 de&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;(paroles mal\u00e9fiques) ; la robe, qui faisait grand bruit, devait expier&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;qui produit un bruit fort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, le Talmud apporte une id\u00e9e apparemment contradictoire&nbsp;<em>braissa<\/em>&nbsp;(2) qui dit que le&nbsp;<em>c\u00e9tores&nbsp;<\/em>(encens) qui \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9 dans le Tabernacle expie pour&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. Il r\u00e9pond qu&#039;il existe deux types diff\u00e9rents de&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. Le&nbsp;<em>c\u00e9tores&nbsp;<\/em>expie une forme plus \u2018 calme \u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>, lorsque l&#039;orateur dissimule ses v\u00e9ritables sentiments \u00e0 la personne qu&#039;il critique et que cette derni\u00e8re n&#039;a pas conscience d&#039;\u00eatre critiqu\u00e9e. En revanche,&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;ce qui est expi\u00e9 par la robe se caract\u00e9rise par le fait que l&#039;orateur ne cache pas ses v\u00e9ritables sentiments \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9gard de la victime, et la victime est probablement consciente de ce qui est dit \u00e0 son sujet.(3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais cette explication semble poser une nouvelle difficult\u00e9\u00a0: pourquoi est-il n\u00e9cessaire que le Mishkan ait deux fonctions distinctes pour expier le seul p\u00e9ch\u00e9 de&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>Pourquoi la robe ou l&#039;encens ne pourraient-ils pas expier \u00e0 la fois le \u2018\u00a0bruyant\u00a0\u2019 et le \u2018\u00a0silencieux\u00a0\u2019\u00a0?\u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>De plus, il semblerait que fort&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;est nettement plus dommageable que le mode \u2018 silencieux \u2019.\u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. Par cons\u00e9quent, si la robe a le pouvoir d&#039;expier la forme la plus s\u00e9v\u00e8re de&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>, alors elle devrait certainement pouvoir compenser le \u2018 silence \u2019 apparemment moins dommageable.\u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette question, il est n\u00e9cessaire de comprendre plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les aspects n\u00e9gatifs de ces deux formes de&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>Le lashon hara \u2018 bruyant \u2019 est tr\u00e8s dommageable car la victime est consciente des paroles malveillantes qui lui sont adress\u00e9es, ce qui lui cause naturellement une grande souffrance. \u00c0 cet \u00e9gard, le lashon hara \u2018 bruyant \u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme plus destructeur que son homologue plus silencieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, il existe une certaine mani\u00e8re dont le \u2018 calme \u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;est plus pernicieux que \u2018 bruyant \u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. &#039;Calme&#039;\u2018&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;Ce comportement se caract\u00e9rise par l&#039;hypocrisie de l&#039;auteur de ce p\u00e9ch\u00e9 grave envers sa victime\u00a0: en face, il se montre tr\u00e8s amical, mais dans son dos, il la calomnie sans piti\u00e9 et ordonne \u00e0 son entourage de ne pas r\u00e9v\u00e9ler ses v\u00e9ritables sentiments \u00e0 son malheureux compagnon. La victime, totalement inconsciente d&#039;\u00eatre diffam\u00e9e, ne cherche pas \u00e0 se prot\u00e9ger et ces attaques peuvent se poursuivre sans rel\u00e2che. \u00c0 l&#039;inverse, la victime de \u2018\u00a0bavardage\u00a0\u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;est bien plus susceptible de d\u00e9couvrir le&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;On a parl\u00e9 de lui, par cons\u00e9quent il pourra se prot\u00e9ger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette compr\u00e9hension, nous pouvons maintenant expliquer pourquoi il est n\u00e9cessaire que le Mishkan ait deux fonctions distinctes pour expier les fautes.&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. Chaque forme de&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;est plus n\u00e9faste d&#039;une mani\u00e8re que d&#039;une autre. Par cons\u00e9quent, bien que la robe puisse expier l&#039;aspect dommageable du lashon hara \u2018 bruyant \u2019, elle ne peut expier le mal caus\u00e9 par le lashon hara \u2018 silencieux \u2019.\u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. De m\u00eame, l&#039;encens peut expier les aspects pernicieux du \u2018 silence \u2019.\u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;mais il ne peut pas le faire pour les zones dans lesquelles \u2018 fort \u2019&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;est plus dommageable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce qui est particuli\u00e8rement frappant dans cette explication, c&#039;est que, d&#039;une certaine mani\u00e8re, parler&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;Agir de mani\u00e8re cach\u00e9e est pire qu&#039;agir de mani\u00e8re flagrante. Le Chafetz Chaim explique comment parler&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>&nbsp;Les transgressions de l&#039;esp\u00e8ce \u2018 silencieuse \u2019 peuvent \u00e9galement impliquer une transgression de la mitsva \u201c ne ha\u00efs pas ton fr\u00e8re dans ton c\u0153ur \u00bb (<em>loh sisna es achicha bilvavecha<\/em>(4) En termes simples, ce commandement (mitzvah) ne se transgresse que lorsqu&#039;on garde sa haine en soi et qu&#039;on ne la r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00e0 personne, m\u00eame \u00e0 la personne vis\u00e9e. Toutefois, si l&#039;on exprime sa haine, m\u00eame de mani\u00e8re n\u00e9gative, on ne transgresse pas le commandement \u201d\u00a0Tu ne ha\u00efras point ton fr\u00e8re en ton c\u0153ur\u00a0\u201c, car on ne garde pas la haine en soi. (5)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Chafetz Chaim soutient que cela n&#039;est pas n\u00e9cessairement le cas\u00a0; une personne peut ha\u00efr son prochain et faire part de sa haine \u00e0 autrui, tout en se comportant amicalement envers lui. Ceci, \u00e9crit le Chafetz Chaim, constitue \u00e9galement une transgression, celle de nourrir la haine dans son c\u0153ur. Il explique que la racine du p\u00e9ch\u00e9 de nourrir la haine r\u00e9side dans l&#039;incapacit\u00e9 de la personne ha\u00efe \u00e0 se prot\u00e9ger de celui qui la m\u00e9prise. Par cons\u00e9quent, si celui qui hait dissimule ses v\u00e9ritables sentiments \u00e0 son prochain, il est coupable de ne pas avoir ha\u00ef son fr\u00e8re dans son c\u0153ur, m\u00eame s&#039;il exprime sa haine \u00e0 autrui. Le Chafetz Chaim nous enseigne ainsi que la m\u00e9disance silencieuse rev\u00eat un aspect particuli\u00e8rement insidieux, car sa victime est totalement impuissante face aux attaques silencieuses dont elle est la cible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il peut arriver dans la vie d&#039;une personne qu&#039;elle \u00e9prouve de l&#039;aversion pour quelqu&#039;un. Il va de soi que cette aversion ne justifie pas de parler.&nbsp;<em>lashon hara<\/em>. Nous apprenons \u00e9galement du Talmud, dans le livre d&#039;Arachin, que l&#039;hypocrisie envers Joseph rend la calomnie (lashon hara) encore plus destructrice. Les rabbins nous disent que les fr\u00e8res de Joseph avaient tort de le ha\u00efr, mais, \u00e0 leur honneur, ils n&#039;ont pas agi avec hypocrisie. La le\u00e7on \u00e0 tirer de leur comportement est que, s&#039;il est mal de ha\u00efr quelqu&#039;un, il est bien pire de dissimuler cette haine et de m\u00e9diser. Ce genre d&#039;attitude ne fait qu&#039;engendrer inimiti\u00e9 et discorde. L&#039;id\u00e9al est de tenter de r\u00e9soudre la situation en parlant calmement et raisonnablement \u00e0 la personne vis\u00e9e par la haine, et de s&#039;efforcer de trouver une solution avec maturit\u00e9.
