Int\u00e9grer la Torah dans sa vie par la r\u00e9flexion et la conversation peut \u00eatre une exp\u00e9rience incroyablement amusante et engageante. C'est un voyage de d\u00e9couverte, o\u00f9 la sagesse ancienne et les enseignements intemporels prennent vie dans nos exp\u00e9riences quotidiennes. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la r\u00e9flexion, nous avons la possibilit\u00e9 de plonger dans la riche tapisserie de la Torah, d'en extraire des id\u00e9es et des le\u00e7ons profondes qui r\u00e9sonnent dans notre vie moderne. Quelques r\u00e9flexions tir\u00e9es de la paracha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Genesis 21, we learn of the unique inheritance of the land of Israel given to Isaac\u2019s descendants. Sarah, seeing Ishmael acting dangerously toward Isaac, tells Abraham to send Ishmael and his mother Hagar away, fearing for Isaac\u2019s safety and future inheritance. Abraham is deeply troubled, but G-d reassures him to follow Sarah\u2019s counsel, affirming that only through Isaac will Abraham\u2019s lineage and the covenant with the land continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This inheritance is a central part of G-d\u2019s promise to the Jewish people. As the Midrash explains, G-d consistently supports those who are “pursued” or opposed, like Isaac, who faced threats to his role and inheritance. The Rashbam elaborates that G-d\u2019s promise of the land to Abraham\u2019s “seed” specifically applies to Isaac\u2019s descendants. Despite Abraham having other children, only Isaac\u2019s line would endure exile, slavery, and finally a return to the Promised Land\u2014a journey that forms a unique connection to the land of Israel that continues through history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Noahides, who honor the Torah and its teachings, supporting the Jewish people\u2019s presence in Israel is one way to align with G-d\u2019s covenant. Even today, Noahides can play an important role by advocating for the Jewish people\u2019s safety and right to dwell in the land of Israel, helping to fulfill G-d\u2019s will for the Jewish inheritance of the land. Supporting their residence and security contributes to a vision of peace and stability where, as the Torah expresses, Israel\u2019s purpose as a light to the nations can flourish, as the verse states (Isaiah 2:3), \u201cfor Torah will come forth from Zion, and the Word of the L-rd from Jerusalem\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
