Ma\u00efmonide \u00e9crit que durant ces dix jours, la p\u00e9nitence et la pri\u00e8re sont \u201c\u00a0les plus belles et sont imm\u00e9diatement exauc\u00e9es\u00a0\u201d. Par ailleurs, le Shabbat est un jour de joie et de bonheur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#039;essence du Shabbat Shuva r\u00e9side dans l&#039;union de deux notions : le repentir d&#039;une part, et la joie d&#039;autre part. Cette union est \u00e9galement sugg\u00e9r\u00e9e dans la paracha hebdomadaire, \u201c Vayelech \u201d, qui signifie \u201c Et il partit \u201d. Partir signifie quitter son lieu actuel pour aller vers un autre. C&#039;est l\u00e0 l&#039;essence de la techouva : quitter son \u00e9tat ant\u00e9rieur et entrer dans une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 nouvelle et diff\u00e9rente. Comme l&#039;explique Ma\u00efmonide, le p\u00e9nitent doit se sentir comme \u201c une autre personne, et non plus celle qui a commis ces actes \u201d. Ainsi, \u201c Vayelech \u201d est l&#039;\u0153uvre du repentir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cela soul\u00e8ve une question : comment concilier ces deux sentiments apparemment contradictoires ? Apr\u00e8s tout, le repentir, o\u00f9 l&#039;on regrette ses mauvaises actions, devrait susciter tristesse et amertume. Comment, d\u00e8s lors, \u00eatre simultan\u00e9ment dans un \u00e9tat de grande joie ? Chaque commandement doit \u00eatre accompli avec joie : \u201c Servez Dieu avec joie. \u201d De plus, on devrait se r\u00e9jouir davantage encore du repentir, car par lui, tous les autres commandements sont accomplis et pleinement accomplis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, il n&#039;y a pas de plus grande joie que le retour d&#039;une personne \u2013 qu&#039;elle soit juive ou noachide \u2013 vers son P\u00e8re c\u00e9leste. Cela concerne \u00e9galement les Noachides, car le repentir s&#039;applique aussi \u00e0 eux, comme on le voit dans le livre de Jonas, chapitre 3. Le Tanya rapporte la parabole d&#039;un prince captif qui, apr\u00e8s avoir travaill\u00e9 dur en prison, est lib\u00e9r\u00e9 et rejoint la maison de son p\u00e8re, le roi. Il n&#039;y a pas de plus grande joie que d&#039;\u00eatre lib\u00e9r\u00e9 de l&#039;emprise de ses penchants mauvais. De m\u00eame, lorsqu&#039;une personne revient \u00e0 Dieu et se rattache \u00e0 Lui, elle en retire un bonheur et une joie infinis. C&#039;est une puissante m\u00e9taphore du cheminement spirituel du repentir. Il s&#039;agit d&#039;une forme sup\u00e9rieure de repentir, qui na\u00eet d&#039;une joie immense.
