Ha'Azinu : La dimension int\u00e9rieure du ciel et de la terre
La foi seule suffit-elle pour adorer le Cr\u00e9ateur\u00a0? Ou faut-il la traduire en actes\u00a0? La paracha de Ha'Azinu s'ouvre sur ce verset\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Cieux, pr\u00eatez l'oreille, et je parlerai\u00a0; que la terre entende les paroles de ma bouche\u00a0!\u00a0\u201d (Deut\u00e9ronome 32:1). Mo\u00efse a appel\u00e9 les cieux et la terre \u00e0 t\u00e9moigner aupr\u00e8s des enfants d'Isra\u00ebl. On comprend g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement que si le peuple observe la Torah et ses commandements, sa r\u00e9compense viendra des cieux et de la terre\u00a0: les cieux feront descendre une pluie bienfaisante et la terre produira ses r\u00e9coltes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cela soul\u00e8ve une question\u00a0: la r\u00e9compense mat\u00e9rielle venant du ciel et de la terre doit-elle \u00eatre la principale motivation pour inciter une personne \u00e0 renforcer son attachement \u00e0 la Torah et \u00e0 ses commandements\u00a0? N\u2019est-ce pas l\u00e0 un abaissement du but spirituel\u00a0?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La r\u00e9ponse r\u00e9side dans la compr\u00e9hension de la dimension int\u00e9rieure du \u201c ciel \u201d et de la \u201c terre \u201d. Nous sommes appel\u00e9s \u00e0 servir le Saint, b\u00e9ni soit-Il, \u00e0 travers les \u2018 cieux \u2019 et la \u2018 terre \u2019 qui existent au plus profond de notre \u00e2me. Ce sont deux facult\u00e9s distinctes pr\u00e9sentes en chaque personne : les \u2018 cieux \u2019 d\u00e9signent les facult\u00e9s sup\u00e9rieures de l'\u00eatre humain \u2013 l'intellect, la compr\u00e9hension et les \u00e9motions. La \u2018 terre \u2019 d\u00e9signe les facult\u00e9s inf\u00e9rieures \u2013 la parole et l'action. Il est insuffisant de s'appuyer sur l'une ou l'autre seule pour servir Dieu. Il ne suffit pas de servir Dieu uniquement par les \u2018 cieux \u2019 \u2013 l'intellect et les \u00e9motions. On peut contempler la grandeur de Dieu par l'esprit et \u00e9prouver un amour et une v\u00e9n\u00e9ration profonds, mais si cela ne se traduit pas par une observance concr\u00e8te des commandements, l'illumination spirituelle doit descendre jusqu'\u00e0 la \u2018 terre \u2019 \u2013 pour accomplir les sept commandements noachiques par la parole et par l'action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 l'inverse, il ne suffit pas de se fier uniquement \u00e0 la parole et \u00e0 l'action. Il faut aussi les \u2018 Cieux \u2019 \u2014 la contemplation int\u00e9rieure, la compr\u00e9hension et le perfectionnement des traits de caract\u00e8re. Ainsi, le service de Dieu et la communion avec Lui impr\u00e8gnent tout l'\u00eatre. Le fondement de tout est une foi simple et l'acceptation du joug du Royaume des Cieux, qui \u00e9mane de l'essence m\u00eame de l'\u00e2me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cet enseignement de Ha'Azinu approfondit la compr\u00e9hension du premier commandement noachide\u00a0: l'interdiction de l'idol\u00e2trie (et la reconnaissance de l'Unicit\u00e9 du Cr\u00e9ateur). Il montre comment vivre pleinement ce commandement, en le transformant d'une simple croyance en un mode de vie complet. Lorsque le service de Dieu est total et engage tout l'\u00eatre, il prot\u00e8ge du p\u00e9ch\u00e9. La simple foi et l'acceptation du joug ne suffisent pas. L'accomplissement de la Torah et de ses commandements exige d'impliquer \u00e0 la fois les cieux et la terre\u00a0; il faut mobiliser les puissances sup\u00e9rieures (les cieux) et inf\u00e9rieures (la terre) au service de Dieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
