Le Talmud<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;Il explique : \u00c0 l&#039;origine, le Soleil et la Lune furent cr\u00e9\u00e9s de taille \u00e9gale, mais la Lune se plaignit \u00e0 Dieu qu&#039;il n&#039;\u00e9tait pas possible pour deux rois d&#039;utiliser une seule couronne, ce qui signifie qu&#039;ils ne devaient pas \u00eatre totalement de taille \u00e9gale.<sup>3<\/sup>&nbsp;L&#039;argument de la Lune impliquait qu&#039;elle devait \u00eatre l&#039;astre le plus grand. Dieu approuva cet argument, mais ordonna \u00e0 la Lune de rapetisser, tandis que le Soleil conservait sa taille initiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il s&#039;agit manifestement d&#039;un enseignement rabbinique profond, qui comporte de nombreuses interpr\u00e9tations.<sup>4<\/sup>&nbsp;Le Daat Zekeinim MiBaalei HaTosefos a une compr\u00e9hension fascinante de ce passage du Talmud et le relie \u00e0 un autre passage du Talmud, apparemment sans aucun rapport : Le Talmud dans Yoma discute de la qualit\u00e9 admirable d&#039;une personne qui est insult\u00e9e ou \u00e0 qui l&#039;on parle de mani\u00e8re d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able, et qui pourtant reste silencieuse : \u201c \u00c0 propos de celui qui est insult\u00e9 et ne rend pas l&#039;insulte (<em>hane&#039;elavin v&#039;eino olvin<\/em>), qui entendent leur d\u00e9gradation et ne r\u00e9agissent pas, d&#039;entre eux le verset<sup>5<\/sup>&nbsp;Il dit : \u2018 Et ceux qui L\u2019aiment sont comparables au soleil levant dans toute sa splendeur. \u2019.<sup>6<\/sup>&nbsp;Le Talmud veut dire que celui qui ne r\u00e9pond pas \u00e0 l&#039;humiliation qu&#039;il subit deviendra de plus en plus fort, \u00e0 l&#039;image du soleil lorsqu&#039;il brille de mille feux au z\u00e9nith.<sup>7<\/sup>&nbsp;Cependant, le Daat Zekeinim per\u00e7oit une autre signification dans la comparaison avec le Soleil. Il explique que le Talmud compare une telle personne au Soleil car celui-ci a lui aussi subi l&#039;humiliation et est rest\u00e9 silencieux, puisqu&#039;on ne trouve aucune trace de r\u00e9ponse du Soleil \u00e0 l&#039;argument de la Lune. En r\u00e9compense de son silence, le Soleil est devenu l&#039;astre le plus brillant.<sup>8<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une question \u00e9vidente se pose quant \u00e0 la comparaison entre l&#039;histoire du Soleil et de la Lune et la grandeur de celui qui ne r\u00e9pond pas aux insultes. On ne voit nulle part que la Lune ait insult\u00e9 le Soleil. Elle a simplement avanc\u00e9 un argument valable\u00a0: il ne devrait pas y avoir deux astres d&#039;\u00e9gale grandeur. Ses paroles n&#039;\u00e9taient ni cri\u00e9es, ni insultantes, ni d\u00e9gradantes. La Lune sugg\u00e9rait plut\u00f4t que le Soleil devrait \u00eatre r\u00e9duit et qu&#039;elle-m\u00eame devrait conserver sa taille originelle, ce qui ne constitue en rien une insulte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il doit s&#039;agir de cela&nbsp;<em>Daat Zekeinim<\/em>&nbsp;Il est entendu que toute tentative visant \u00e0 rabaisser, d\u00e9valoriser ou d\u00e9grader autrui rel\u00e8ve de l&#039;insulte et de l&#039;avilissement. Par cons\u00e9quent, si la \u2018\u00a0victime\u00a0\u2019 de cette tentative reste silencieuse et ne se d\u00e9fend pas, elle est elle aussi rel\u00e9gu\u00e9e au rang de celle qui ne r\u00e9pond pas \u00e0 l&#039;avilissement et re\u00e7oit une r\u00e9compense inestimable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il semble que cette capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 ne pas r\u00e9agir aux tentatives de rabaisser une personne se prolonge par le fait que, lorsqu&#039;une personne semble \u00eatre trait\u00e9e ou per\u00e7ue d&#039;une mani\u00e8re qui ne correspond pas \u00e0 son v\u00e9ritable statut, elle reste silencieuse et se laisse subtilement rabaisser, m\u00eame si l&#039;autre personne n&#039;a pas l&#039;intention d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e de le faire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chacun rencontre dans sa vie des situations o\u00f9 il peut se sentir rabaiss\u00e9 ou d\u00e9valoris\u00e9. Pourtant, nous apprenons de ces exp\u00e9riences.&nbsp;<em>Daat Zekeinim<\/em>&nbsp;L&#039;explication du r\u00e9cit de la cr\u00e9ation du Soleil et de la Lune sugg\u00e8re que le silence permet d&#039;atteindre le niveau exalt\u00e9 de celui qui reste insensible \u00e0 l&#039;humiliation.
