La Torah est avant tout un livre d\u2019instructions pour le peuple juif. Logiquement, elle aurait d\u00fb s\u2019ouvrir sur le premier commandement qui lui a \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9\u00a0: la cons\u00e9cration du nouveau mois. Rachi, dans son commentaire, soul\u00e8ve pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment cette question et y apporte une r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Torah commence par le r\u00e9cit de la Cr\u00e9ation pour apporter une r\u00e9ponse d\u00e9cisive aux nations du monde qui pourraient un jour accuser les Juifs\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Vous \u00eates des voleurs\u00a0! Vous avez conquis ill\u00e9galement le pays des sept nations.\u00a0\u201d La r\u00e9ponse juive, fond\u00e9e sur l\u2019ouverture de la Torah, est la suivante\u00a0: La terre enti\u00e8re appartient au Saint, b\u00e9ni soit-Il. Il l\u2019a cr\u00e9\u00e9e et l\u2019a donn\u00e9e \u00e0 qui Il a voulu. Par Sa volont\u00e9, Il nous l\u2019a donn\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e8s lors que le peuple juif re\u00e7ut la Terre d&#039;Isra\u00ebl, celle-ci fut \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 un statut spirituel unique et inali\u00e9nable. La Terre d&#039;Isra\u00ebl est fondamentalement diff\u00e9rente de toutes les autres terres. L&#039;imp\u00e9ratif d&#039;ouvrir la Torah par le r\u00e9cit de la Cr\u00e9ation souligne une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 essentielle, vitale tant pour les Juifs que pour les descendants de No\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les premiers mots, \u201c Au commencement, Dieu cr\u00e9a les cieux et la terre \u201d, \u00e9tablissent d&#039;embl\u00e9e que Dieu est le propri\u00e9taire absolu de l&#039;univers entier. Il n&#039;a pas simplement initi\u00e9 un processus naturel ; Il est la source de toute existence. En affirmant la cr\u00e9ation originelle de Dieu, la Torah interdit d&#039;attribuer une quelconque signification ou autorit\u00e9 ind\u00e9pendante \u00e0 la \u201c Nature \u201d ou au monde physique. Rien n&#039;existe en dehors de la volont\u00e9 du Cr\u00e9ateur. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 physique, y compris le partage des terres, est enti\u00e8rement soumise au commandement divin. La propri\u00e9t\u00e9 fonci\u00e8re n&#039;est donc pas soumise aux lois humaines temporaires ni aux trait\u00e9s internationaux, mais au d\u00e9cret divin \u00e9ternel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#039;ouverture de la Torah constitue une d\u00e9claration universelle pour toute l&#039;humanit\u00e9\u00a0: la foi en Dieu unique est le fondement d&#039;un ordre divin li\u00e9 au monde physique.
