Apr\u00e8s que Pharaon eut endurci son c\u0153ur lors des premi\u00e8res plaies, le Cr\u00e9ateur le punit \u201c\u00a0mesure pour mesure\u00a0\u201d et le priva de la capacit\u00e9 de choisir le bien (\u201c\u00a0Car J\u2019ai endurci son c\u0153ur\u00a0\u201d). Le but de cet endurcissement \u00e9tait de d\u00e9montrer \u00e0 Pharaon qu\u2019il n\u2019\u00e9tait pas ma\u00eetre de lui-m\u00eame, mais un instrument entre les mains de la Providence divine. Ceci soul\u00e8ve une question fondamentale\u00a0: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourquoi Pharaon a-t-il \u00e9t\u00e9 puni pour avoir refus\u00e9 de lib\u00e9rer les Isra\u00e9lites une fois qu&#039;il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 priv\u00e9 de sa capacit\u00e9 de choisir ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La privation de son libre arbitre fut motiv\u00e9e par les paroles de Pharaon : \u201c Qui est l\u2019\u00c9ternel pour que j\u2019ob\u00e9isse \u00e0 sa voix ? \u201d, ce qui constitue un affront au Cr\u00e9ateur. L\u2019interdiction du blasph\u00e8me est l\u2019une des Sept Lois noachides. Le devoir d\u2019un Noachide est de reconna\u00eetre le Cr\u00e9ateur, de le servir et d\u2019honorer son nom. Pharaon \u00e9tait lui aussi tenu par ce commandement, mais par ses paroles, il blasph\u00e9ma et injuria Hachem, violant ainsi cette interdiction. Pharaon se consid\u00e9rait comme une idole. L\u2019idol\u00e2trie est interdite dans les trois dimensions de l\u2019\u00e2me : la pens\u00e9e, la parole et l\u2019action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>En pratique\u00a0: l\u2019interdiction d\u2019offrir des sacrifices ou de se prosterner devant une idole. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dans le discours : l&#039;interdiction de profaner le nom de Dieu (comme l&#039;a fait Pharaon dans sa r\u00e9bellion). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00c0 m\u00e9diter : voici une observation importante : la pens\u00e9e de l&#039;idol\u00e2trie est interdite \u00e0 un non-Juif, m\u00eame si elle n&#039;est pas exprim\u00e9e ext\u00e9rieurement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Pourquoi faut-il \u00e9viter toute pens\u00e9e d&#039;idol\u00e2trie\u00a0? La pens\u00e9e est compar\u00e9e \u00e0 un \u201c\u00a0v\u00eatement subtil\u00a0\u201d, plus proche de l&#039;\u00e2me humaine que la parole ou l&#039;action. Nos Sages enseignent que \u201c\u00a0quiconque reconna\u00eet l&#039;idol\u00e2trie est comme s&#039;il avait blasph\u00e9m\u00e9 et injuri\u00e9 le Nom de Dieu\u00a0\u201d (Ma\u00efmonide, Lois sur l&#039;idol\u00e2trie, chapitre 2). L&#039;id\u00e9e que le monde est gouvern\u00e9 par des puissances \u00e9trang\u00e8res (idol\u00e2trie) rel\u00e8ve en soi de l&#039;interdiction du blasph\u00e8me et de la profanation (Rabbi Jonatan Shteif, Mitzvot Hasham, p.\u00a0315-318). Lorsqu&#039;une personne (juive ou non-juive) accepte une autorit\u00e9 \u00e9trang\u00e8re comme une divinit\u00e9 dans son c\u0153ur et son esprit, elle renie l&#039;unicit\u00e9 de Dieu dans sa pens\u00e9e et profane Son honneur. Cela est \u00e9galement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une forme d&#039;idol\u00e2trie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ainsi, toute pens\u00e9e idol\u00e2tre constitue simultan\u00e9ment une forme de blasph\u00e8me envers Dieu au moment m\u00eame o\u00f9 elle est formul\u00e9e, et une violation de l&#039;interdiction de l&#039;idol\u00e2trie. Si un tribunal terrestre ne peut punir une personne pour ses pens\u00e9es, leur impact spirituel demeure n\u00e9anmoins soumis au jugement divin. Pr\u00e9server la puret\u00e9 de nos pens\u00e9es est essentiel \u00e0 une relation authentique avec le Cr\u00e9ateur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>M\u00eame apr\u00e8s que Dieu eut endurci le c\u0153ur de Pharaon, existait-il un chemin de retour\u00a0? La r\u00e9ponse est oui. Parce que Pharaon avait souill\u00e9 ses pens\u00e9es et ses paroles, l\u2019aide divine pour ouvrir les portes du repentir lui fut refus\u00e9e. Cependant, la voie n\u2019\u00e9tait pas totalement ferm\u00e9e. M\u00eame sans l\u2019aide divine, une personne peut encore se repentir au prix d\u2019un effort personnel extraordinaire. Pharaon fut puni pour avoir manqu\u00e9 \u00e0 cet effort\u00a0; il ne se repentit pas, bien que la possibilit\u00e9 \u2013 aussi difficile f\u00fbt-elle \u2013 demeur\u00e2t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>De cela, nous pouvons tirer la le\u00e7on de l&#039;importance vitale de pr\u00e9server la puret\u00e9 des trois aspects de l&#039;\u00e2me et de les consacrer au service de Dieu. M\u00eame dans la pens\u00e9e, o\u00f9 aucune action physique n&#039;est entreprise, il est essentiel de se pr\u00e9munir contre les pens\u00e9es n\u00e9gatives et de cultiver les r\u00e9flexions positives sur la grandeur infinie du Cr\u00e9ateur. La voie noachide ne consiste pas seulement \u00e0 s&#039;abstenir du mal ; elle consiste \u00e0 agir bien en reconnaissant la pr\u00e9sence de Dieu dans le monde.
