Apr\u00e8s tout, il commence par les mots <em>\u201c \u00c9coute, Isra\u00ebl. \u201d<\/em> La question que nous souhaitons explorer est pourtant plus profonde et plus subtile :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le Shema est-il r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux Juifs, ou a-t-il \u00e9galement une signification et une pertinence pour les Bnei Noach ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un verset de la Torah<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Premi\u00e8rement, un point fondamental doit \u00eatre soulev\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Shema est un verset de la Torah. Ni plus, ni moins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon l&#039;\u00e9crasante majorit\u00e9 des avis, <strong>Les non-Juifs sont autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 apprendre l&#039;int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 de la Torah \u00e9crite.<\/strong>. Cela inclut des r\u00e9cits, des lois et des versets qui ne leur sont pas n\u00e9cessairement applicables dans la pratique. Ma\u00efmonide affirme clairement que la saintet\u00e9 de la Torah ne d\u00e9pend pas de l&#039;importance ou de la force \u00e9motionnelle que nous accordons \u00e0 un verset particulier. Chaque mot, chaque lettre, chaque verset poss\u00e8de une \u00e9gale valeur sacr\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De ce seul point de vue, rien n&#039;emp\u00eache un non-Juif de lire, voire de r\u00e9citer, le verset du Shema. Il fait partie de la Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La mitsva du Shema<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour les Juifs, cependant, le Shema est plus qu&#039;un verset, c&#039;est un <strong>commandement biblique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Torah oblige les Juifs \u00e0 r\u00e9citer le Shema <strong>deux fois par jour<\/strong>Le Talmud d\u00e9finit ces moments non pas par rapport \u00e0 des horloges, mais par l&#039;exp\u00e9rience humaine, c&#039;est-\u00e0-dire quand les gens se couchent et quand ils se r\u00e9veillent habituellement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quelle est l&#039;essence de ce commandement ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au fond, le Shema exprime deux id\u00e9es fondamentales\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Accepter le joug du Ciel<\/strong> \u2014 reconnaissant que Dieu est Roi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>L&#039;acceptation du joug des mitsvot<\/strong> \u2014 s\u2019engager \u00e0 vivre selon sa volont\u00e9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Et au-del\u00e0 de cela, le Shema appelle une personne \u00e0 <strong>int\u00e9rioriser l&#039;unit\u00e9 absolue de Dieu<\/strong>: non seulement qu&#039;il n&#039;y a qu&#039;un seul Dieu plut\u00f4t que plusieurs, mais que toute existence d\u00e9pend en fin de compte de Lui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La structure du Shema<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 proprement parler, la mitsva elle-m\u00eame est accomplie par le <strong>premier couplet seul<\/strong>. N\u00e9anmoins, nos Sages ont institu\u00e9 la r\u00e9citation de trois portions de la Torah dans le cadre du Shema quotidien\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Shema<\/em> (extrait de la paracha Va&#039;etchanan)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>VeHaya<\/em> (extrait de la paracha Ekev)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Vayomer<\/em> (extrait de la paracha Shelach)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette structure refl\u00e8te une progression spirituelle. On commence par la proclamation de l&#039;unicit\u00e9 de Dieu. Vient ensuite l&#039;acceptation des commandements. Enfin, on comm\u00e9more l&#039;Exode d&#039;\u00c9gypte et l&#039;observance des tzitzit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le <em>Sefer HaChinuch<\/em> La mitsva 420 explique la sagesse psychologique qui sous-tend cette pratique. L&#039;\u00eatre humain est naturellement attir\u00e9 par les d\u00e9sirs mat\u00e9riels et les distractions du monde. R\u00e9citer le Shema deux fois par jour ancre la personne dans la conscience spirituelle et l&#039;aide \u00e0 se pr\u00e9munir contre le p\u00e9ch\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour cette raison, le Shema doit \u00eatre <strong>parl\u00e9 \u00e0 voix haute<\/strong>. La pens\u00e9e silencieuse ne suffit pas. Dans la loi juive, la parole est un acte. Verbaliser sa foi l&#039;ancre dans la conscience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Qu&#039;en est-il des Bnei Noach ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous revenons maintenant \u00e0 notre question centrale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D&#039;un point de vue technique, un non-Juif r\u00e9citant le Shema est simplement <strong>lecture d&#039;un verset de la Torah<\/strong>, Ce qui est parfaitement permis. Mais il y a plus encore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le rabbin Chaim Yosef David Azulai (le Chida), l&#039;une des grandes autorit\u00e9s de la Torah du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle, relate une rencontre remarquable dans son journal de voyage. <em>Ma&#039;agal Tov<\/em>. Lors d&#039;un voyage en France, il rencontra un non-Juif qui d\u00e9clara sinc\u00e8rement croire au Dieu d&#039;Isra\u00ebl. Apr\u00e8s avoir examin\u00e9 ses croyances, le Chida lui donna trois instructions\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>R\u00e9citez le Shema le matin et le soir<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Observez les sept commandements noahides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00c9viter <em>merde<\/em>\u2014toute association de Dieu avec un autre \u00eatre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#039;homme accepta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce t\u00e9moignage est frappant. Le Chida n&#039;\u00e9tait pas un personnage marginal, et ses paroles ont une grande autorit\u00e9. Son enseignement montre clairement que <strong>La r\u00e9citation du Shema peut \u00eatre spirituellement appropri\u00e9e pour un non-Juif qui affirme v\u00e9ritablement l&#039;unit\u00e9 du Dieu d&#039;Isra\u00ebl.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rambam : Mitzvot volontaires<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Rambam (Lois des Rois 10:10) ajoute un cadre halakhique important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un non-Juif peut accomplir volontairement des mitsvot qui \u00e9taient prescrites aux Juifs <strong>afin de recevoir une r\u00e9compense<\/strong>, \u00e0 condition qu&#039;elles soient pratiqu\u00e9es correctement et non dans le cadre d&#039;un syst\u00e8me religieux nouvellement invent\u00e9. Il existe des exceptions sp\u00e9cifiques, comme l&#039;observance du Shabbat ou le port des tefillin, mais le Shema\u2026 <strong>pas<\/strong> appartiennent \u00e0 ces cat\u00e9gories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cela signifie que pendant qu&#039;un non-Juif est <strong>non command\u00e9<\/strong> r\u00e9citer le Shema peut n\u00e9anmoins avoir une valeur spirituelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Foi, unit\u00e9 et \u201c Echad \u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Au fond, le Shema est une profession de foi. La foi en Dieu est l&#039;antith\u00e8se de l&#039;idol\u00e2trie, dont la pratique est formellement interdite aux Bnei Noach. En ce sens, affirmer l&#039;unicit\u00e9 de Dieu n&#039;est pas \u00e9tranger \u00e0 la voie noachide\u00a0; c&#039;est son fondement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les enseignements de nos Sages mettent en lumi\u00e8re la profondeur cach\u00e9e dans la parole <em>\u00c9chad<\/em> (&quot;Un&quot;):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Aleph (\u05d0)<\/strong> \u2014 <em>Alufo shel Olam<\/em>, le Ma\u00eetre du Monde<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chet (\u05d7)<\/strong> \u2014 sept cieux plus la terre<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dalet (\u05d3)<\/strong> \u2014 les quatre directions du monde<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout, au-dessus, en dessous et dans toutes les directions, est unifi\u00e9 dans l&#039;unit\u00e9 de Dieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est pourquoi, traditionnellement, les Juifs se couvrent les yeux lorsqu\u2019ils r\u00e9citent le Shema\u00a0: pour se soustraire momentan\u00e9ment \u00e0 l\u2019illusion de la multiplicit\u00e9 et se concentrer sur la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 plus profonde de l\u2019unit\u00e9 divine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Shema est incontestablement une mitsva juive. Mais c&#039;est aussi un verset de la Torah qui proclame une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 universelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour les Bnei Noach qui reconnaissent sinc\u00e8rement l&#039;unit\u00e9 du Dieu d&#039;Isra\u00ebl, r\u00e9citer le Shema n&#039;est ni une transgression, ni une imitation, mais une expression de foi. Non pas une obligation, mais un acte significatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En fin de compte, le Shema rappelle \u00e0 chaque \u00eatre humain la m\u00eame r\u00e9alit\u00e9 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Il n&#039;y a qu&#039;un seul Dieu.
