C&#039;est l\u00e0 que les sept commandements noachides, donn\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#039;origine \u00e0 Adam et \u00e0 No\u00e9, furent r\u00e9affirm\u00e9s et int\u00e9gr\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#039;alliance divine \u00e9ternelle par l&#039;interm\u00e9diaire de Mo\u00efse. \u00c9tonnamment, cette paracha ne s&#039;intitule pas \u201c\u00a0Le don de la Torah\u00a0\u201d. Elle porte plut\u00f4t le nom d&#039;un homme\u00a0: Yitro (J\u00e9thro), qui portait le titre de \u201c\u00a0pr\u00eatre de Madian\u00a0\u201d. Pourquoi la Torah ne nomme-t-elle pas cette paracha d&#039;apr\u00e8s cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement transformateur, mais plut\u00f4t d&#039;apr\u00e8s J\u00e9thro\u00a0?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Le Zohar r\u00e9v\u00e8le que la Torah ne pouvait \u00eatre donn\u00e9e au monde avant l&#039;arriv\u00e9e de Yitro et sa reconnaissance du Tout-Puissant. Ce n&#039;est qu&#039;apr\u00e8s que Yitro eut proclam\u00e9\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0Maintenant je sais que l&#039;\u00c9ternel est plus grand que tous les dieux\u00a0\u201d, qu&#039;une \u00e9l\u00e9vation spirituelle s&#039;est produite dans tous les mondes, permettant la connexion entre le Ciel et la Terre au mont Sina\u00ef. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour comprendre le lien avec le premier commandement noachide \u2013 l\u2019interdiction de l\u2019idol\u00e2trie \u2013 il faut examiner le personnage de Yitro. Il n\u2019\u00e9tait pas un simple chercheur de v\u00e9rit\u00e9\u00a0; nos Sages expliquent qu\u2019il \u00e9tait un expert de toutes les formes d\u2019idol\u00e2trie. Yitro repr\u00e9sentait le \u201c\u00a0sommet des t\u00e9n\u00e8bres\u00a0\u201d, l\u2019essence m\u00eame d\u2019un monde o\u00f9 l\u2019homme v\u00e9n\u00e8re des forces impures et mal\u00e9fiques au lieu du Cr\u00e9ateur infini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Pour un Noachide, l&#039;interdiction de l&#039;idol\u00e2trie ne se limite pas \u00e0 \u201c ne pas se prosterner devant des statues \u201d. Son essence m\u00eame r\u00e9side dans la reconnaissance de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 absolue du Cr\u00e9ateur et la suppression de toute autre puissance avant Lui. Il s&#039;agit d&#039;une nouvelle conscience divine. Lorsque celui qui \u00e9tait le plus profond\u00e9ment plong\u00e9 dans le monde de l&#039;idol\u00e2trie a tout abandonn\u00e9 pour proclamer l&#039;unicit\u00e9 de Dieu, il a atteint la rectification ultime\u00a0: \u201c\u00a0La lumi\u00e8re qui jaillit des t\u00e9n\u00e8bres\u00a0\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Avant le Sina\u00ef, la saintet\u00e9 et le monde physique \u00e9taient distincts. Au Sina\u00ef, l&#039;humanit\u00e9 re\u00e7ut le pouvoir de transformer un monde physique, parfois plong\u00e9 dans les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres, en une demeure pour Dieu. Yitro a prouv\u00e9 que m\u00eame depuis un lieu d&#039;idol\u00e2trie, on peut s&#039;\u00e9lever et devenir un instrument de la foi en un Dieu unique. Yitro n&#039;est pas n\u00e9 dans la foi\u00a0; il a explor\u00e9 toutes les autres voies et a choisi la V\u00e9rit\u00e9 divine de son plein gr\u00e9. C&#039;est le but ultime de tout \u00eatre humain\u00a0: reconna\u00eetre le Cr\u00e9ateur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>L&#039;interdiction de l&#039;idol\u00e2trie est le fondement des sept lois noachides.
