Les portions de la Torah pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant Rosh Hashanah sont li\u00e9es d'une certaine mani\u00e8re au mois particulier d'Eloul et au jour du jugement. La semaine derni\u00e8re, dans la portion de la Torah intitul\u00e9e Ki Tavo, nous avons lu le verset d'ouverture\u00a0: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c Et il en sera ainsi lorsque vous serez entr\u00e9s dans le pays \u201d (Deut\u00e9ronome 26:1). <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Au sens litt\u00e9ral, ce verset \u00e9voque l'entr\u00e9e des Enfants d'Isra\u00ebl en Terre promise apr\u00e8s l'Exode d'\u00c9gypte et leur travers\u00e9e du d\u00e9sert. Certains ma\u00eetres hassidiques Habad expliquent que \u201c\u00a0venir au pays\u00a0\u201d d\u00e9crit le voyage de chaque \u00e2me humaine\u00a0: la descente de l'\u00e2me de sa source pure c\u00e9leste vers ce monde physique, d\u00e9sign\u00e9 comme la \u201c\u00a0terre\u00a0\u201d. Pourquoi cette descente d'un royaume spirituel vers une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 physique pleine d'\u00e9preuves est-elle consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un bienfait, alors qu'\u00e0 premi\u00e8re vue, elle nous \u00e9loigne de la pr\u00e9sence divine et nous expose aux difficult\u00e9s du monde mat\u00e9riel\u00a0?

En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, il s'agit d'une \u201c descente en vue d'une \u00e9l\u00e9vation \u201d, un voyage destin\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9lever l'\u00e2me \u00e0 un \u00e9tat bien sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui qu'elle aurait pu atteindre avant sa venue au monde. Le Cr\u00e9ateur, dans son infinie bont\u00e9, a voulu offrir \u00e0 l'humanit\u00e9 une r\u00e9compense inimaginable et un lien divin qui d\u00e9passe l'entendement humain. Ce lien n'est pas un don gratuit, mais se m\u00e9rite par l'effort personnel, le d\u00e9passement des obstacles et l'accomplissement de sa mission de vie dans l'action.

Lorsqu'un homme ou une femme noachide accomplit les Sept Lois noachides et \u0153uvre \u00e0 l'\u00e9dification d'une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 juste et morale, il ou elle cr\u00e9e un lien vivant et essentiel avec Dieu. Dans l'enseignement hassidique, le mot h\u00e9breu mitzvah (commandement) est li\u00e9 \u00e0 tzavta, qui signifie communion et connexion. Par ses bonnes actions dans ce monde physique, tout \u00eatre humain se connecte au Cr\u00e9ateur d'une mani\u00e8re infiniment plus profonde et merveilleuse que m\u00eame dans les plus hautes sph\u00e8res spirituelles.

Nous sommes actuellement dans les derniers jours du mois d'Eloul, une p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9flexion spirituelle en pr\u00e9paration de Roch Hachana, le jour o\u00f9 tous les habitants de la terre se pr\u00e9sentent devant le Cr\u00e9ateur et o\u00f9 l'abondance pour l'ann\u00e9e \u00e0 venir est d\u00e9cid\u00e9e. Un aspect essentiel de cette introspection est de se demander comment l'ann\u00e9e \u00e0 venir contribuera \u00e0 l'accomplissement de sa mission premi\u00e8re sur terre.

Surtout, ce bilan spirituel doit \u00eatre men\u00e9 avec une joie authentique et non avec d\u00e9sespoir. Il ne doit jamais engendrer tristesse ou abattement, car la tristesse paralyse l'esprit, tandis que la v\u00e9ritable croissance spirituelle requiert \u00e9nergie et enthousiasme. Au contraire, la reconnaissance de notre vocation divine devrait nous emplir de joie, car le Cr\u00e9ateur nous confie une mission si importante. Lorsque nous r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissons \u00e0 l'ann\u00e9e \u00e9coul\u00e9e avec joie et gratitude pour l'opportunit\u00e9 de servir Dieu, cette conscience positive nous insuffle une vitalit\u00e9 renouvel\u00e9e pour faire le bien, multiplier les actes de bont\u00e9 et renforcer notre observance des Sept Lois Noachides au cours de la nouvelle ann\u00e9e.
