The question was, is there a Biblical source for the Sheva Mitzvot? The first answer to this question came from Rabbi Yochanan in Sanhedrin 56b, who identifies Genesis 2:16 as the verse containing the Sheva Mitzvot. There, Rabbi Yochanan explains how each word in the verse corresponds to one of the Sheva Mitzvot. Rabbi Yitzchak switches the order with regard to two of the mitzvot, but still uses that same verse.

I Review: Rabbi Yochanan’s Approach

TB Sanhedrin 56b

From where do we derive the seven mitzvot? Thus, there are seven mitzvot..

IV Rambam’s Opinion: Adam was not Allowed to eat Meat

8. Kesef Mishna on Hilchot Melachim 9:1

We can infer from this that Adam HaRishon was not commanded regarding the prohibition of eating the limb of a live animal, i.e., only if it was not an animal, it was permitted to him as food—and since Adam HaRishon was not permitted to eat meat at all, it was not necessary to command him regarding the prohibition of eating the limb of a live animal.
