Realizing that Israel cannot be defeated militarily, they decide to attack Israel&#8217;s judgment rather than its army.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Battlefield Shifts to the Human Mind<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gibeonites disguise themselves as travelers from a distant country. Wearing worn-out clothing, carrying cracked wineskins, and bringing moldy bread, they carefully construct a convincing story designed to deceive Joshua and the leaders of Israel into making a peace treaty with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their greatest weapon is not violence but narrative. They understand that if people accept a story, they will often interpret the evidence through that story.
