Sei trib\u00f9 si trovavano su una montagna e sei trib\u00f9 sulla seconda. Venivano recitate una serie di Benedizioni e Maledizioni, a cui tutti dovevano rispondere Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Torah elenca undici maledizioni che dovevano essere parte di questa recitazione, per le quali chi le trasgrediva doveva essere maledetto. Questa cerimonia era l&#039;accettazione nazionale di un giuramento vincolante a non violare queste undici trasgressioni. I peccati specifici per i quali veniva proclamato &quot;Maledetto chi...&quot; includono chi: fa un&#039;immagine scolpita e la pone in segreto; umilia suo padre o sua madre; sposta indietro i confini del suo prossimo; fa smarrire un cieco sulla strada; perverte il giudizio di un convertito, di un orfano o di una vedova; giace con la moglie di suo padre; giace con qualsiasi animale; giace con sua sorella; giace con sua suocera; colpisce il suo prossimo in segreto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il rabbino Yissachar Frand pone la seguente domanda fondamentale in questa lista:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cLasciatemi chiedere una cosa: queste undici cose sono le&nbsp;<strong>peggio<\/strong>&nbsp;peccati nella Torah? Non dice &quot;Maledetto chi profana lo Shabbat&quot;. Non dice &quot;Maledetto chi mangia chametz a Pesach&quot;. Alcune delle cose menzionate non comportano la grave pena del Karet (escissione), n\u00e9 la pena meno grave delle makkot (frustate). Se dovessimo stilare una lista degli &quot;undici peggiori&quot;, forse ne avremmo elencati alcuni, come quelli che riguardano l&#039;Avodah Zarah (adorazione degli idoli) o l&#039;Arayot (immoralit\u00e0). Ma la maggior parte di essi non sembra essere &quot;cos\u00ec grave&quot; da meritare questa maledizione unica. Allora perch\u00e9 sono stati scelti proprio questi undici?&quot;\u201c<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Il rabbino Frand cita la risposta del Darash Mordechai. Suggerisce un denominatore comune a tutti gli undici punti. Questi peccati vengono tutti commessi a porte chiuse, dove una persona pu\u00f2 agire in modo ipocrita. Nelle parole del rabbino Frand, &quot;Una persona pu\u00f2 comportarsi come il pi\u00f9 grande Tzadik (persona giusta) in pubblico, e a porte chiuse pu\u00f2 trattare i suoi genitori con totale mancanza di rispetto. &#039;Maledetto sia colui che invade i confini del suo prossimo&#039;. Una persona pu\u00f2 promuoversi come uno degli uomini d&#039;affari pi\u00f9 onesti che ci siano, eppure, nel furtivo della notte, sposter\u00e0 la demarcazione del confine di qualche centimetro, e nessuno noter\u00e0 la differenza&quot;.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allo stesso modo, molti degli altri divieti elencati qui riguardavano peccati che potevano essere nascosti dietro una parvenza di rettitudine. &quot;Maledetto chi svia il cieco sulla strada&quot;, secondo il Rambam, si riferisce al dare cattivi consigli pensando ai propri interessi personali. Ad esempio, se una persona d\u00e0 un consiglio d&#039;affari a un amico, quando in realt\u00e0 si tratta di un consiglio dannoso. Allo stesso modo, la maledizione su chi colpisce un amico in privato si riferisce al dire lashon hara alle proprie spalle. I commentari affermano che questo \u00e8 particolarmente pernicioso perch\u00e9 la &quot;vittima&quot; del lashon hara \u00e8 incapace di difendersi perch\u00e9 non sa nemmeno di essere aggredita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inoltre, sembra che non sia solo il danno causato dall&#039;essere doppi ad essere oggetto di una maledizione cos\u00ec forte, ma piuttosto il tratto caratteriale di base che sembra essere cos\u00ec ripugnante per i Saggi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il mio Rebbe, Rav Yitzchak Berkovits, spiega che la caratteristica di essere bifronti o &quot;subdoli&quot; \u00e8 vista in modo estremamente negativo dai Saggi, poich\u00e9 indica disonest\u00e0 e paura delle persone, in contrapposizione alla paura di HaShem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le undici maledizioni non rappresentano necessariamente i peggiori peccati della Torah, ma tutte comportano i tratti spregevoli della furtivit\u00e0 e della doppiezza, che indicano paura delle persone e non di Dio.
