Acharei Mot (Levitico 16-18<\/a> )<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prima di elencare dettagliatamente l'elenco delle relazioni proibite, la Torah ci istruisce: "Non praticate le pratiche della terra d'Egitto in cui avete abitato; e non praticate le pratiche della terra di Canaan in cui vi conduco..." (1) Rashi scrive che l'Egitto e Canaan erano le nazioni moralmente pi\u00f9 decadenti e in particolare le zone in cui vivevano gli ebrei erano le peggiori di questi paesi. Perch\u00e9 Dio ha deliberatamente collocato il popolo ebraico nei luoghi pi\u00f9 corrotti della Terra?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rav Dessler risponde a questa domanda in un saggio in cui discute di come si dovrebbe reagire a un ambiente negativo.(2) Osserva che una societ\u00e0 negativa pu\u00f2 avere un effetto molto dannoso su una persona. Tuttavia, se \u00e8 abbastanza forte da non subire influenze negative, ci\u00f2 pu\u00f2 effettivamente rafforzarla nel suo Servizio Divino. Come avviene? Rav Dessler spiega che quando vede il male circostante, questo diventa pi\u00f9 disgustoso ai suoi occhi perch\u00e9 ne riconosce maggiormente la negativit\u00e0. Questo gli permette di rafforzarsi ulteriormente nell'apprezzamento del bene. Sulla base di questa comprensione della natura umana, Rav Dessler fa un'osservazione storica che pu\u00f2 spiegare perch\u00e9 Dio abbia deliberatamente collocato il popolo ebraico nei luoghi pi\u00f9 degenerati della Terra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOgni volta che c'era la necessit\u00e0 di un tzaddik<\/em> (uomo giusto) per elevarsi ad un livello estremamente alto, il tzaddik<\/em> fu gettato negli ambienti pi\u00f9 umili e degenerati affinch\u00e9 potesse imparare da essi la bassezza del male e rafforzarsi nel bene all'estremo opposto." (3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do ha deliberatamente posto il popolo ebraico in Egitto affinch\u00e9 potesse sviluppare un odio intenso per la sua grande impurit\u00e0, che, scrive, fu in effetti la motivazione per invocare Dio affinch\u00e9 li liberasse da quel luogo terribile. Questo intenso disgusto permise loro di elevarsi rapidamente dal 49\u00b0 livello di impurit\u00e0 al livello di poter ricevere la Torah. Se si fossero trovati in un ambiente meno immorale, non sarebbero stati in grado di raggiungere un livello cos\u00ec elevato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anche questo sembrerebbe spiegare perch\u00e9 il popolo ebraico dovette recarsi in una terra altrettanto abominevole. Vedere il comportamento altamente immorale delle nazioni cananee aveva lo scopo di intensificare il loro disgusto per il male e, di conseguenza, accrescere il loro apprezzamento per la moralit\u00e0 della Torah.(4)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rav Dessler usa questo concetto per aiutare a comprendere un altro passaggio discusso nella porzione di questa settimana: il Seir l'Azazel<\/em>. Nel giorno pi\u00f9 sacro dell'anno, Yom Kippur, la Torah ci comanda di condurre una capra attraverso il deserto e di gettarla gi\u00f9 da un dirupo. Qual \u00e8 il significato di condurre la capra attraverso il deserto? Rav Dessler spiega che il deserto \u00e8 il luogo in cui le persone sacrificano le capre alle forze negative. Conducendo la capra attraverso questo luogo impuro ed esponendosi alla sua impurit\u00e0 durante Yom Kippur, le persone si rafforzano ulteriormente nel loro Servizio Divino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il principio di Rav Dessler ci aiuta anche a comprendere alcune idee relative a Pesach. Iniziamo l'Haggadah parlando dei nostri antenati che adoravano gli idoli. Rav Dessler si chiede: come si collega questo alla storia dell'uscita dall'Egitto? Risponde che, circondato da tale negativit\u00e0, Abramo raggiunse un livello di santit\u00e0 cos\u00ec elevato che il suo potere non sarebbe mai stato vanificato. La redenzione dall'Egitto germogli\u00f2 direttamente da questa santit\u00e0. Pertanto, parliamo dei nostri antenati idolatri per sottolineare che fu proprio grazie alla loro impurit\u00e0 che Abramo raggiunse un livello cos\u00ec incredibilmente elevato e che fu la sua grandezza a sua volta a piantare i semi per l'Esodo dall'Egitto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ora possiamo comprendere pi\u00f9 a fondo perch\u00e9 l'Haggaddah si soffermi cos\u00ec a lungo a discutere delle influenze negative che includono i nostri antenati idolatri, gli Egizi e Lavan. Forse questo ha lo scopo di suscitare il nostro disgusto per queste persone immorali e, a sua volta, accrescere il nostro apprezzamento per Dio per averci liberato da loro e donato la Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nel mondo odierno, c'\u00e8 il rischio costante di essere influenzati negativamente da varie influenze dannose. Il principio di Rav Dessler pu\u00f2 aiutarci a gestire queste influenze e forse persino a usarle per il bene. Osservando il lato negativo che circonda una persona, possiamo accrescere il nostro apprezzamento per la bellezza dello stile di vita basato sulla Torah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
