You can\u2019t indicate a certain behavior just like that.<br>\u2013 You have to provide sources.<br>\u25cf Drush (Homiletics)<br>\u2013 You can\u2019t learn Law from Drush (Talmud Ierushalmi Chaguiga 1:8).<br>\u2013 Misticism can support a certain behavior, but only when based on Halacha (See Mishna Brura, 25:42 rules regarding this).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sources 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Rambam, Laws of Kings, 10:9<br>\u2013 The general rule: we don\u2019t allow them to create a religion and make commandments for themselves. Rather: either convert [to Judaism] and accept all commandments or keep yourself in your Torah (the 7 commandments) and don\u2019t add nor take away.<br>\u25cf Rambam, Laws of Kings, 10:10<br>\u2013 A ben Noach that wants to fulfill a commandment of the rest of the commandments to receive reward, we don\u2019t prevent him from doing it according to Halacha (Law).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sources 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Commentary of Radvaz (r. David ben Zimra)<br>\u2013 A ben Noach that wants to fulfill a commandment etc.: and if he wants to fulfill it saying that he was commanded to do so, we don\u2019t allow him to do it. Except if he does it as someone that was not commanded to do so and does it, and our master (Rambam) was precise and wrote \u201cin order to receive reward\u201d.<br>\u2013 However the commandments that require sanctity and purity like Tefillin, Sefer Torah and Mezuzah, I\u2019m strict and they should not do them.<br>\u25cf Meiri (Commentary to Sanhedrin 58b)<br>\u2013 The rest of the commandments, we don\u2019t prevent from him, because we accept his offerings and Tzedaka. Also he has reward for his actions (See Encyclopedia Talmud vol. 3, end of p. 358 y 359).<br>\u25cf Talmud Kidushin 31a<br>\u2013 Story of Dama ben Netina (You could argue saying that his reward was only in this world (and not in the world to come (see Torat Cohan\u00edm Bechukot\u00e1i 26:1)), but, in any case, is a reward for a commandment he was not commanded to do).<br>\u25cf Talmud Sanhedrin 59a<br>\u2013 A non-Jew that studies (the 7 commandments) is like a High Priest. In other words, because he learns to know how to fulfill his commandments, obtains the spiritual virtue of a High Priest. (See Likut\u00e9i Sichot 14, p. 38-39).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R. Moshe Feinstein<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsa in Igrot Moshe (Iore Dea 1:3, Iore Dea 2:7, Orach Chaim 2:25).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf There is no reward for a Ben Noach for the fulfillment of commandments of the Torah.<br>\u25cf There is reward for prayer, because G-d listens to the prayers of all human beings.<br>\u25cf Bnei Noach can only fulfill logical and rational commandments, like Tzedaka \u2013<br>charity, Honoring parents etc.<br>\u25cf Fulfillment of Jewish commandments is \u201cmaking up a new religion\u201d. Any religious<br>act is \u201cmaking up a new religion\u201d.<br>\u25cf The manuscript of Radvaz (as well as a responsa of Rambam, ed. Freiman, 124 y the commentaries<br>of Meiri to Sanhedrin 59a) are not liable sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other opinions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Encyclopedia Talmud vol. 3, end of p. 358 y 359, Likutei Sichot, vol. 17, p. 326<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf \u201cThe pious\u201d among the nations of the world have a portion in the World to Come<br>\u2013 Rambam Laws of Kings, end of ch. 8.\u2013 \u201cPious\u201d (Chasid) is the one that goes beyond the letter of the law.<br>\u25cf There is reward for fulfillment of the 7 commandments<br>\u2013 In this world without doubt and also in the world to come.<br>\u25cf A world to come for non-Jews separated from the one for Jews (Zohar Chadash<br>Rut 96a)<br>\u25cf Spiritual reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Holidays and Moments of the Jewish year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>\u25cf Holidays &nbsp;<\/td><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>\u25cf Moments &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u2013 Biblical &nbsp;<\/td><td>\u2013 &nbsp;Rabbinical &nbsp;<\/td><td>\u2013 Fasts &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u25cf Rosh HaShana \u25cf Yom Kipur \u25cf Sucot \u25cf Shemini Atzeret \u25cf Simchat Tor\u00e1 \u25cf Pesach \u25cf Shavuot &nbsp;<\/td><td>\u25cf Chanuka \u25cf Purim &nbsp;<\/td><td>\u25cf Fast of Gedalia \u25cf 10 de Tevet \u25cf 17 de Tamuz \u25cf 9 de Av \u2013 Special days \u25cf 15 de Shvat \u25cf Lag BaOmer \u25cf Tu beAv &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is a Jewish holiday?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf These are moments where the special bond between Jews and G-d is expressed<br>(Includes Shabbat, see Shulchan Aruj, Orach Chaim 31 y Shmot 31:13).<br>\u25cf It makes no sense that non-Jews celebrate Jewish holidays.<br>\u2013 It doesn\u2019t represent a bond with G-d.<br>\u2013 They don\u2019t project the energies of the holiday (See Likutei Torah, Shmini Atzeret 83b).<br>\u2013 They don\u2019t internalize the available energies.<br>\u25cf Talmud Avoda Zara 3a (Sukkot)<br>\u2013 G-d gave the nations of the world the commandment of Sukkah to se if they could fulfill<br>it.<br>\u2013 It\u2019s clear from that story that the commandment doesn\u2019t apply today for Bnei Noa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lets be Clear<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cfIt\u2019s not the same to celebrate the moment \u201cin the Jewish way\u201d than to be aware of the moment and recognize it.<br>\u25cfIt\u2019s not the same to fulfill Jewish commandments than to incorporate<br>the teachings a holiday can offer.<br>\u25cf Example of Rosh Hashana:<br>\u2013 We blow the Shofar<br>\u2013 Day of Judgment<br>\u2013 Accept G-d as King<br>\u2013 Jewish commandment<br>\u2013 Recognize the moment<br>\u2013 Extract teachings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rosh HaShana<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Mishna (Rosh HaShana, 1:2)<br>\u2013 In Rosh HaShana all human beings pass in front of Him as sheep as it\u2019s written (Tehil\u00edm 33:15): \u201cHe who forms together their hearts, who understands all their actions\u201d.<br>\u25cfIt\u2019s the day of creation of human beings.<br>\u25cfIt\u2019s the day of judgment over the actions of Man on the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Holidays 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Yom Kippur<br>\u2013 Celebrates divine forgiveness for the Golden Calf.<br>\u25cf Sukkot<br>\u2013 Celebrates that G-d surrounded with Clouds of Glory the Jewish people in their trip through the desert<br>after coming out of Egypt<br>\u2013 There were offerings in the Temple for the 70 nations.<br>\u25cf Shmini Atzeret<br>\u2013 Celebretes the private relationship between the Jewish people and G-d (that\u2019s why there was only on<br>offering as compared with Sukkot with 70 offerings).<br>\u25cf Simchat Torah<br>\u2013 Celebrates the giving of th Second Tablets in Yom Kippur. End and beginning of the annual Torah reading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Holidays 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Pesach<br>\u2013 Celebrates the Jewish people going out of Egypt.<br>\u25cf Shavuot<br>\u2013 Celebrates Receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai.<br>\u2013 From here come the 7 commandments for Bnei Noach (see Rambam, Laws of Kings, 8:10).<br>\u25cf Chanuka<br>\u2013 Celebrates victory over the Greeks and re-inauguration of the Temple.<br>\u25cf Purim<br>\u2013 Celebrates victory over Persians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moments of the Year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Fasts<br>\u2013 Most rabbinical authorities agree that Bnei Noach should not observe the rabbinical decrees (Rambam, Laws of Inheritance, 6:10).<br>\u2013 In the story of Yona we find that the people of Nineve fasted together with Teshuva (repentance).<br>\u25cf Special days<br>\u2013 You can and should learn from the teachings of each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Observance of Jewish commandments is not the most appropriate for Bnei Noach.<br>\u25cf Even when observed, they have to be observed according to the Jewish laws (See Rambam, Laws of Offerings, 19:16).<br>\u25cf It Certainly is not the first step.<br>\u25cfIt\u2019s not the way of living the relationship with G-d, since He didn\u2019t command that this is the way to relate to<br>Him (for Bnei Noach).<br>\u25cfIt is arguable whether there is reward or it makes sense.<br>\u25cfIt is forbidden to \u201cinvent\u201d observances.<br>\u2013 Of course they are not mandatory.<br>\u2013 Even when considered optional, they are still \u201cinvented religions\u201d.<br>\u2013 Made up blessings?
