La porzione della Torah di questa settimana racconta il comandamento speciale che gli Israeliti ricevettero alla vigilia dell'esodo dall'Egitto: a ogni famiglia fu comandato di portare a casa un agnello il decimo giorno del mese ebraico di Nisan, di tenerlo in casa per quattro giorni e di macellarlo il quattordicesimo giorno di Nisan per il "sacrificio della Pasqua". L'agnello era uno degli idoli egiziani. Avrebbe potuto un ebreo dire al suo vicino egiziano che teneva l'agnello in casa per quattro giorni solo per macellarlo per un sacrificio?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'agnello era un falso idolo egizio. La sua uccisione serviva a dimostrare a tutti il disprezzo per l'idolatria. Tutti i vicini egiziani vennero a chiedere perch\u00e9 tenessero l'agnello in casa e cosa intendessero farne. La risposta fu che l'agnello sarebbe stato macellato e sacrificato. Questa era una rappresentazione schiacciante dell'impotenza del loro falso idolo, quindi l'abolizione dell'idolo egizio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuttavia, c'era un altro scopo nel prendere l'agnello, l'idolo egizio: mettere alla prova gli ebrei! E vedere se la loro fede in Dio fosse pi\u00f9 forte della loro paura degli adoratori di idoli egiziani; se seguissero il loro Dio, anche quando il cammino \u00e8 pieno di pericoli e disagi. E in effetti, gli ebrei superarono bene la prova. Eseguirono coraggiosamente il comando e non esitarono a rivelare agli egiziani il loro scopo e la loro intenzione di immolare l'agnello per il sacrificio. E cos\u00ec la Torah dice che grazie alla forza della loro fede e alla loro dedizione all'adempimento del comando del Creatore, gli israeliti furono redenti dall'Egitto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per molti versi, c'\u00e8 un parallelismo tra quel periodo, alla vigilia dell'Esodo dall'Egitto, e il periodo in cui viviamo oggi. Quindi, allora come oggi, ci\u00f2 che ci viene chiesto \u00e8 di sopportare la prova della fede in Hashem e nei Suoi comandamenti, in preparazione alla redenzione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questo spiega le numerose difficolt\u00e0 della nostra generazione, difficolt\u00e0 sia fisiche che spirituali. Dio si aspetta che affrontiamo queste difficolt\u00e0, scoprendo al contempo l'enorme potere nascosto dentro di noi. Il primo comandamento noachide \u00e8 di non adorare idoli. Nella nostra generazione, i Sette Comandamenti noachidi sono la chiave per la redenzione personale e sono comandamenti morali fondamentali che vincolano tutta l'umanit\u00e0. L'osservanza di queste leggi accelerer\u00e0 sicuramente la redenzione completa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
