Questa non \u00e8 una questione moderna. Grandi pensatori ebrei come il Rambam (Maimonide) e Ramban (Nachmanide) se ne occuparono gi\u00e0 secoli fa (vedi il commento di Ramban a Bereshit 34:13). Ma forse pi\u00f9 recentemente e in modo pi\u00f9 accessibile, il Rebbe di Lubavitch ha offerto spunti che rimangono profondamente rilevanti ancora oggi, non solo per gli ebrei, ma anche per i non ebrei che cercano di comprendere il loro scopo nella creazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Giustizia e il ruolo del non ebreo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Torah non si rivolge solo al popolo ebraico, ma riconosce anche le responsabilit\u00e0 morali dei non ebrei, i cosiddetti Bnei Noach (Figli di No\u00e8). Secondo il Ramban (commento a <em>Bereshit<\/em> 6:13), queste responsabilit\u00e0 si estendono oltre le classiche Sette Leggi Noachidi, includendo imperativi etici razionali necessari per una societ\u00e0 giusta e morale, come onorare i genitori e fare beneficenza. Ci\u00f2 riflette una pi\u00f9 ampia comprensione degli obblighi dei non ebrei. Pi\u00f9 in generale, ci\u00f2 tocca un dibattito fondamentale tra il Rambam e il Ramban riguardo alla portata del comandamento noachide di <em>Dinim<\/em> (leggi): mentre il Rambam la limita all&#039;istituzione di tribunali per far rispettare le altre sei leggi, il Ramban la interpreta in modo pi\u00f9 ampio, includendo un sistema completo di legislazione civile ed etica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A prima vista, il Rambam sembra pi\u00f9 restrittivo. Afferma che i non ebrei non sono formalmente obbligati a dare la tzedakah (vedi <em>Rambam, Leggi dei Re<\/em> 10:10). Tuttavia, come spiega il Rebbe di Lubavitch, persino il Rambam riconosce che non agire con compassione \u2013 soprattutto quando si impedisce anche agli altri di fare del bene \u2013 rappresenta un grave collasso morale. La distruzione di Sodoma e Gomorra \u00e8 il monito pi\u00f9 agghiacciante della Torah: quando una societ\u00e0 diventa cos\u00ec egocentrica da non solo trattenere la gentilezza, ma <strong>punisce coloro che lo dimostrano, anche al punto di uccidere qualcuno per aver fatto beneficenza<\/strong> \u2014 il suo stesso diritto di esistere crolla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perch\u00e9 siamo qui?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ci\u00f2 porta a una domanda centrale: perch\u00e9 Dio ha creato l&#039;umanit\u00e0? Il Rebbe di Lubavitch, basandosi sul commento di Rashi a <em>Bereishit<\/em> 1:1 insegna che il mondo \u00e8 stato creato per amore della Torah e dei suoi comandamenti, ovvero affinch\u00e9 il popolo ebraico compisse la sua missione divina. Tuttavia, ci\u00f2 non significa che i non ebrei non abbiano uno scopo nel piano divino. Al contrario, hanno un ruolo vitale nel rendere il mondo un luogo vivibile, etico e giusto, un concetto noto come <em>yeshuv ha&#039;olam<\/em> (vedi Isaia 45:18). Sebbene le missioni ebraiche e non ebraiche siano distinte, entrambe sono essenziali per la realizzazione della visione di Dio sulla creazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Tzedakah \u00e8 fondamentale per questa missione. Non perch\u00e9 le persone debbano ricevere l&#039;ordine di fare il bene, ma perch\u00e9 \u00e8 razionale, umana e moralmente ovvia. Se qualcuno \u00e8 nel bisogno e puoi aiutarlo, come potresti non farlo? Questa logica si riflette nel <em>Sefer HaChinuch<\/em> ragionamento per la mitzvah di onorare i genitori (Mitzvah 33): poich\u00e9 i tuoi genitori ti hanno dato cos\u00ec tanto, \u00e8 giusto e leale ricambiare quell&#039;amore e quella cura con rispetto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La profondit\u00e0 della storia di Sichem<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un esempio lampante di complessit\u00e0 morale nella Torah \u00e8 la storia di Sichem, dove Shimon e Levi si vendicano dopo che la loro sorella Dina \u00e8 stata violata. Il Rebbe sottolinea che avrebbero dovuto consultare il padre Giacobbe prima di agire, non solo per rispetto, ma perch\u00e9 anche l&#039;indignazione morale deve essere incanalata attraverso saggezza e responsabilit\u00e0. Eppure, il loro dolore viene riconosciuto. Quando Giacobbe li rimprovera, rispondono con profonda emozione: <em>\u201c&quot;Nostra sorella dovrebbe essere trattata come una prostituta?!&quot;\u201d<\/em> La loro bussola morale non era rotta, anzi, stava bruciando troppo forte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cosa significa questo per noi oggi?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Il messaggio della Torah qui \u00e8 profondo e universale: essere umani significa essere moralmente responsabili. Che tu sia ebreo o no, la tua vita ha uno scopo. Per i non ebrei, questo significa vivere eticamente, onorare i genitori, donare a chi \u00e8 nel bisogno e battersi per la giustizia. Questo non \u00e8 un merito extra: \u00e8 il fondamento di ci\u00f2 che significa esistere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anche la storia della Torre di Babele (Genesi 11) riecheggia questa idea. Dio non voleva che tutti gli uomini si trovassero nello stesso luogo, a pensare e parlare allo stesso modo (vedi il commento di Ibn Ezra e Ramban a Bereshit 11:3). Voleva la diversit\u00e0, diffusa in tutto il mondo, in cui ogni comunit\u00e0 contribuisse alla missione globale di rendere il mondo una dimora per il Divino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusione: una missione condivisa<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Torah non \u00e8 un libro esclusivo. \u00c8 una guida divina per l&#039;umanit\u00e0. Mentre la legge ebraica prevede comandamenti pi\u00f9 dettagliati per gli ebrei, i non ebrei hanno un ruolo altrettanto significativo nel piano di Dio: preparare il mondo a riflettere la bont\u00e0 divina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Che tu viva a Tel Aviv o a Toronto, a Buenos Aires o a Bangkok, puoi compiere questa missione. Essendo onesto. Aiutando gli altri. Rispettando i tuoi genitori. Rifiutandoti di partecipare all&#039;ingiustizia.
