Maimonide scrive che durante questi dieci giorni, il pentimento e la preghiera sono &quot;bellissimi e vengono accettati immediatamente&quot;. D&#039;altra parte, lo Shabbat \u00e8 un giorno di gioia e diletto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#039;essenza dello Shabbat Shuvah \u00e8 che queste due idee \u2013 pentimento da una parte e gioia e delizia dall&#039;altra \u2013 sono unite. Questa unione \u00e8 accennata anche nella porzione settimanale della Torah, intitolata &quot;Vayelech&quot;, che significa &quot;E and\u00f2&quot;. Il significato di &quot;andare&quot; \u00e8 lasciare la propria posizione attuale e procedere verso un&#039;altra. Questa \u00e8 l&#039;essenza della teshuvah: una persona abbandona lo stato in cui si trovava prima ed entra in una realt\u00e0 nuova e diversa. Come descrive Maimonide, un penitente dovrebbe sentirsi come se fosse &quot;una persona diversa e non colui che ha compiuto quegli atti&quot;. Come si pu\u00f2 quindi essere contemporaneamente in uno stato di grande gioia? Ogni comandamento dovrebbe essere adempiuto con gioia: &quot;Servite Dio con gioia&quot;. Inoltre, si dovrebbe gioire ancora di pi\u00f9 nel pentimento, perch\u00e9 attraverso di esso tutti gli altri comandamenti vengono riparati e resi completi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inoltre, non c&#039;\u00e8 gioia pi\u00f9 grande del ritorno di una persona, che sia ebrea o noachide, al Padre Celeste. Questo \u00e8 rilevante anche per i noachidi, poich\u00e9 il pentimento si applica anche a loro, come si vede nel Libro di Giona, capitolo 3. C&#039;\u00e8 una parabola riportata nella Tanya, di un principe che era prigioniero, lavorava duramente in prigione, e poi tornava libero alla casa di suo padre, il Re. Non c&#039;\u00e8 gioia pi\u00f9 grande dell&#039;essere liberati dal controllo della propria inclinazione malvagia. Allo stesso modo, quando una persona ritorna a Dio e si riavvicina a Lui, ci\u00f2 porta felicit\u00e0 e gioia infinite. \u00c8 una potente metafora del cammino spirituale del pentimento. Questa \u00e8 una forma superiore di pentimento, che deriva da una gioia immensa.
