Alla fine del libro dell'Ecclesiaste (Kohelet) \u00e8 scritto: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLa conclusione, quando tutto \u00e8 stato ascoltato, \u00e8: Temi Dio e osserva i suoi comandamenti, perch\u00e9 questo \u00e8 il tutto per l'uomo.\u201d (Ecclesiaste 12:13). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il versetto che conclude il Libro dell'Ecclesiaste \u00e8 la conclusione finale e l'essenza dell'intero percorso filosofico e della ricerca di Re Salomone documentati nel libro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c"S\u00f4f davar" (La somma della questione) significa la conclusione finale, il punto di fondo, dopo che tutte le possibilit\u00e0 e le vanit\u00e0 del mondo sono state esaminate e soppesate (come ricchezza, saggezza, piaceri e dolore). Quando tutto \u00e8 stato ascoltato\/che tutto sia ascoltato significa che ora, dopo tutta la ricerca, il messaggio pi\u00f9 chiaro e semplice \u00e8 che bisogna ascoltare e prestare attenzione. Non c'\u00e8 bisogno di cercare filosofie complesse o significati nascosti; la verit\u00e0 \u00e8 fondamentale e accessibile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c"Temere Dio" si riferisce al sentimento interiore e al giusto rapporto con il Creatore. Questo "timore" non \u00e8 necessariamente terrore, ma timore reverenziale e riverenza, un riconoscimento della sconfinata grandezza di Dio. Questo porta all'umilt\u00e0, alla cautela nelle proprie azioni e al rispetto per la Sua volont\u00e0. Questa \u00e8 la sottomissione emotiva. "E osservate i Suoi comandamenti" si riferisce all'azione concreta: l'adempimento delle leggi e delle direttive impartite da Dio (siano esse le 613 Mitzvot per il popolo ebraico o i Sette Comandamenti di No\u00e8 per il resto del mondo). Questa \u00e8 la manifestazione pratica del timore reverenziale interiore. "Perch\u00e9 questo \u00e8 l'intero dovere dell'uomo". Questa \u00e8 la parte fondamentale che d\u00e0 significato all'esistenza umana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'intero destino e scopo dell'uomo nel mondo. Tutto ci\u00f2 che una persona fa nella vita \u2013 saggezza, studio, lavoro \u2013 deve in ultima analisi convergere verso il servizio di Dio attraverso il Suo timore reverenziale e l'osservanza dei Suoi comandamenti. In altre parole, la questione dell'osservanza dei comandamenti e del timore di Dio riguarda tutti gli esseri umani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dopo aver esaminato tutti i possibili modi per raggiungere la felicit\u00e0, Re Salomone giunge alla seguente conclusione: l'unico modo per trovare un significato permanente nella vita \u00e8 attraverso la connessione con il Creatore. La grandezza infinita di Dio \u00e8 ben al di sopra della comprensione umana, eppure Egli \u00e8 il bene supremo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il versetto insegna che non si dovrebbe cercare il significato nello status esteriore, nella ricchezza o nei successi effimeri, ma nell'atto basilare e fondamentale di riconoscere il Creatore, venerarLo e adempiere ai comandamenti etici e spirituali che Egli ha dato a tutta l'umanit\u00e0 (7 Leggi di No\u00e8) e al popolo ebraico (613 Comandamenti). Questa \u00e8 l'essenza intrinseca ed eterna dell'esistenza umana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
