Eppure, a prima vista, il nome della nostra porzione, No\u00e8, sembra contraddirne l&#039;essenza stessa. La porzione tratta principalmente di eventi devastanti \u2013 il Diluvio che travolse il mondo e il peccato e la punizione della Torre di Babele \u2013 mentre il suo nome, No\u00e8, significa riposo e tranquillit\u00e0. Come si pu\u00f2 attribuire il nome No\u00e8 \u2013 riposo \u2013 a una porzione il cui intero argomento \u00e8 l&#039;opposto del riposo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il nome No\u00e8 ci insegna il significato profondo nascosto dietro quegli eventi cos\u00ec difficili. Sebbene il Diluvio in s\u00e9 fosse certamente l&#039;opposto della pace e del riposo, fu proprio attraverso di esso che si ottenne il vero riposo. Il Diluvio purific\u00f2 la terra e cre\u00f2 un mondo infinitamente migliore di quello che lo aveva preceduto. Quando No\u00e8 usc\u00ec dall&#039;Arca, &quot;vide un mondo nuovo&quot;. Era un mondo elevato nella sua spiritualit\u00e0. Pertanto, in definitiva, le acque del Diluvio furono davvero acque che finalmente portarono riposo e rinnovamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La porzione della Torah di No\u00e8 contiene molti elementi direttamente correlati a Bnei Noah. La Torah descrive l&#039;uscita di No\u00e8 dall&#039;Arca e il ristabilimento del patto di Dio con tutta l&#039;umanit\u00e0. Questo patto costituisce la pietra angolare per l&#039;adempimento dei Sette Comandamenti di No\u00e8. Dio comand\u00f2 a No\u00e8 e ai suoi figli di liberare tutti gli esseri viventi dall&#039;arca e di permettere loro di &quot;essere fecondi, moltiplicarsi e riempire la terra&quot; (Genesi 8:17). L&#039;arcobaleno che apparve dopo il diluvio simboleggia il patto universale tra Dio e ogni essere vivente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dopo aver lasciato l&#039;Arca, No\u00e8 costru\u00ec un altare e offr\u00ec sacrifici. Ai Bnei No\u00e8 \u00e8 permesso offrire olocausti di animali puri in segno di gratitudine al Creatore. Sebbene questa pratica non sia raccomandata oggi, a causa della particolare competenza richiesta per attuarla, essa simboleggia il diritto dei Bnei No\u00e8 di servire il Creatore anche attraverso i sacrifici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A No\u00e8 fu dato un comandamento aggiuntivo che amplia i sei ricevuti da Adamo (divieti di idolatria, bestemmia, omicidio, rapporti sessuali proibiti, furto e istituzione di un sistema giudiziario). L&#039;ultimo comandamento dato a No\u00e8 \u00e8 il divieto di mangiare un arto di un animale vivo. Questo divieto completa il numero dei Sette Comandamenti di No\u00e8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alla fine, le acque del diluvio portarono riposo e rinnovamento al mondo. La vita sostenuta nell&#039;Arca di No\u00e8 funge da microcosmo dell&#039;Era Messianica. All&#039;interno dell&#039;Arca, i normali conflitti della natura erano sospesi: predatore e preda coesistevano non solo senza violenza, ma in perfetta armonia e sottomissione all&#039;unico comando divino. Non c&#039;era odio, n\u00e9 agonia, n\u00e9 lotta per la sopravvivenza.
