In questa porzione, Dio comanda ad Abramo di lasciare la sua terra natale e di recarsi in una terra che Lui gli mostrer\u00e0: &quot;Vattene dalla tua terra, dalla tua patria e dalla casa di tuo padre, verso la terra che io ti mostrer\u00f2&quot; (Genesi 12:1). L&#039;obbedienza di Abramo dimostra fede e fiducia nelle promesse di Dio, anche senza conoscerne l&#039;esito completo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dopo la grande vittoria di Abramo sui quattro re, Hashem gli disse: &quot;Non temere, Abramo... la tua ricompensa sar\u00e0 molto grande&quot;. Rashi spiega che Abramo temeva di aver gi\u00e0 ricevuto la ricompensa per tutta la sua rettitudine. In risposta, Dio lo rassicura: &quot;Ci\u00f2 di cui ti preoccupi, la tua ricompensa \u00e8 molto grande&quot;. \u00c8 chiaro che Abramo serv\u00ec il suo Creatore puramente, per amore, solo per amore del Cielo. Come poteva, allora, Abramo essere preoccupato per la sua ricompensa, al punto che Dio dovette rassicurarlo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La risposta sta nel fatto che Abramo si considerava polvere e cenere: non si considerava un&#039;esistenza personale e individuale, ma piuttosto un vaso nelle mani di Dio, il cui unico scopo era promuovere il nome di Dio nel mondo. Questo spiega perch\u00e9 Abramo fosse preoccupato per la sua ricompensa. Voleva ricevere una ricompensa affinch\u00e9 gli altri vedessero che la fede in Dio \u00e8 la vera via. La preoccupazione di Abramo non era per s\u00e9 stesso, ma per l&#039;onore del Cielo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ricompensa divina pu\u00f2 essere espressa in molti modi. Pu\u00f2 significare abbondanza materiale, ricchezza, successo nella vita familiare o ricompensa spirituale eterna nel Mondo a Venire. Il Creatore ha creato il mondo per elargire il bene alle Sue creature, e la natura del bene ultimo \u00e8 quella di elargire. Tuttavia, esiste un livello superiore: servire Dio per amore del Cielo, senza alcuna aspettativa di ricompensa personale. Questo \u00e8 uno stadio superiore nel servire Hashem, e quando si serve senza aspettarsi alcuna ricompensa, la ricompensa per tale servizio diventa infinitamente maggiore del servire per amore della ricompensa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonostante la sua lotta contro l&#039;idolatria diffusa ai suoi tempi, Abramo non fu molto popolare. Fu minacciato dal re pi\u00f9 potente della sua generazione, Nimrod. Tuttavia, istru\u00ec e convert\u00ec attivamente decine di migliaia di persone alla fede in un solo Dio.<br>Abramo era profondamente consapevole della consapevolezza di Dio. Giunse a una profonda comprensione dell&#039;infinita grandezza del Creatore e alla percezione che ogni esistenza \u00e8 nulla al di fuori di Lui.
