Viene introdotto nella parash\u00e0 di questa settimana, la Parash\u00e0 Shemot: "In quei giorni, Mos\u00e8, ormai adulto, and\u00f2 dai suoi fratelli e osserv\u00f2 i loro lavori forzati; e vide un Egiziano che colpiva un Israelita, uno dei suoi fratelli. Voltatosi, vide che non c'era nessuno, uccise l'Egiziano e lo nascose nella sabbia" (Esodo 2:11-12). Questo solleva una domanda difficile: qual era la giustificazione legale per uccidere un uomo semplicemente perch\u00e9 stava colpendo un'altra persona?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Gemara nel Trattato Sanhedrin 58b ritiene che un gentile che colpisce un israelita sia passibile di pena. L'azione di Mos\u00e8 era legalmente basata su questo principio. Inoltre, il Midrash (Midrash Aggadah Buber, Shemot 2:11) afferma che l'egiziano aveva anche commesso un atto proibito con la moglie dell'ebreo che aveva picchiato, l'egiziano aveva messo gli occhi su di lei e durante la notte aveva portato via il marito da casa sua, poi era tornato a casa e aveva avuto rapporti proibiti con questa donna sposata, mentre lei credeva erroneamente che fosse suo marito. Di conseguenza, l'egiziano era passibile di morte per adulterio con una donna sposata, per il quale un noachide \u00e8 passibile di morte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pertanto, l'uccisione dell'egiziano era pienamente giustificata nel quadro giuridico delle Sette Leggi Noachidi. Mos\u00e8 agiva come giudice o esecutore della legge in un luogo in cui non c'era "nessun uomo" (nessun altro disposto a difendere la giustizia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gli eventi che precedettero la nomina di Mos\u00e8 a capo testimoniano il suo carattere unico e il fuoco della verit\u00e0 che ardeva dentro di lui: and\u00f2 dai suoi fratelli per assistere in prima persona alle loro sofferenze; uccise un sorvegliante egiziano (che era passibile di morte secondo la legge noachide) per aver picchiato un israelita; intervenne in una lite tra due ebrei per ristabilire la pace; e quando fu costretto a fuggire a Madian, il suo primo atto fu quello di proteggere le figlie di Ietro dai pastori molesti. Mos\u00e8 avrebbe potuto vivere una vita di lusso e splendore come principe nella pi\u00f9 grande superpotenza del mondo. Il Faraone, che governava il mondo, lo aveva nominato a capo di tutta la sua casa. C'erano buone probabilit\u00e0 che, alla morte del Faraone, Mos\u00e8 avrebbe ereditato il trono e la guida del mondo intero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eppure, l'immensa ricchezza del palazzo del Faraone non confuse Mos\u00e8. Egli aspirava alla Verit\u00e0 Divina. Cerc\u00f2 di entrare in contatto con la realt\u00e0 dell'Onnipotente. Osserv\u00f2 il mondo attraverso il prisma dei valori noachidi e ag\u00ec di conseguenza. Questa \u00e8 una lezione brillante per ogni persona, ebrea o noachide che sia. Sebbene il livello dell'anima di Mos\u00e8 fosse eccezionalmente elevato rispetto alle anime della nostra generazione, la ricerca della verit\u00e0 rimane il catalizzatore che alla fine conduce una persona alle pi\u00f9 alte vette spirituali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
