Nella Parashat Mishpatim, la Torah delinea l'infrastruttura per stabilire una societ\u00e0 rettificata. Uno dei comandamenti pi\u00f9 sorprendenti \u00e8: "Non usare parzialit\u00e0 verso il povero nel suo processo" (Esodo 23:3). A prima vista, questo sembra quasi contrario alla natura umana. La Torah, che predica misericordia, gentilezza e aiuto ai poveri, ci istruisce specificamente qui a frenare la nostra compassione?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il comandamento del Dinim (Leggi) \u00e8 un obbligo positivo e proattivo per i figli di No\u00e8. La Torah mette in guardia il giudice, e la societ\u00e0 nel suo complesso, dalla tendenza emotiva a far pendere il giudizio a favore del povero semplicemente a causa della sua povert\u00e0. La giustizia \u00e8 un valore assoluto che non dipende dallo status socio-economico. Come afferma Maimonide (Leggi del Sinedrio, Capitolo 20, Legge 7), lo scopo di un tribunale \u00e8 il perseguimento della giustizia, non l'esercizio della carit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mitzvah del "Dinim" non \u00e8 meramente tecnica; ci richiede di purificare il nostro sistema giudiziario e la nostra coscienza sociale dai pregiudizi. L'uguaglianza davanti alla legge \u00e8 l'unica garanzia che anche i poveri possano vivere in sicurezza. Nell'era moderna, questo messaggio ha un peso ancora maggiore. Stiamo assistendo a un fenomeno in cui gruppi o individui richiedono l'immunit\u00e0 morale di fronte alla legge. La Torah insegna che nessuno \u00e8 esente dall'adempimento della legge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'obbligo di "Non mostrare parzialit\u00e0 verso un povero nella sua causa" esige da noi una posizione netta: non schierarci con i forti a causa del loro potere e non schierarci con i deboli a causa della loro debolezza, ma schierarci con la Giustizia Divina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abbiamo forse rinunciato alla compassione cos\u00ec facendo? Certamente no. Quando una societ\u00e0 si comporta con Giustizia Divina secondo le Sette Leggi di No\u00e8, la maggior parte delle offese ai deboli viene automaticamente prevenuta. Per i Figli di No\u00e8, a cui \u00e8 stato comandato di istituire un sistema legale, questo \u00e8 un fondamento fondamentale per la rettifica del mondo. Costruire una societ\u00e0 in cui la verit\u00e0 sia la luce guida del sistema, senza pregiudizi, \u00e8 il modo per preparare il mondo a essere un veicolo attraverso il compimento della volont\u00e0 di Hashem. Solo attraverso un sistema di vera giustizia possiamo creare uno spazio in cui possa esistere la pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
