The Karliner Rebbe explained that the literal meaning of the Hebrew in the last phrase of this verse is &#8216;you shall slaughter your will (desires)&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rav Meilech Biderman teaches that any time we close our eyes from seeing something improper, close our mouth from saying something improper, or <a><\/a>hold back from doing something improper &#8211; THAT is a sacrifice that we are offering to Hashem, because we are sacrificing our own will!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By Rabbi Michael Skobac<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a9 Copyright, all rights reserved.
