De Aramese vertaling van Tora is Oraissa, wat Licht betekent. (2) De stam &#039;yrh&#039; \u2013 wat schieten of projecteren betekent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Tora is er natuurlijk op gericht onze wereld en ons leven te verlichten. Ze is er ook op gericht ons in een bepaalde richting te sturen. Het licht van de Tora leidt ons naar die bestemming.
