A child asked his father:

“Daddy, what is Rosh Hashanah?”

His father said:

“On Rosh Hashanah, all people stand before G-d.”

“G-d looks at what we have done.”

The child asked:

“But why did G-d send our soul into this world?”

His father answered:

“Our soul came here to do good.”

“Not only to think.
Not only to speak.”

“But to do.”

That day, the child saw that his mother needed help.

So he helped her.

It was a small action.

But it was important.

Because this is why our soul is here:

To make the world better through our actions.

And if we did something wrong?

We can stop.

We can think.

And we can start again.

The Lesson

G-d gives us a new chance.
Our soul is here to do good through our actions.
