Passover is not merely a reminder to historical events of the distant past; it is a dynamic, ongoing process of breaking free from the constrictions of our lives here and now. While Noahides are not bound by the specific commandments of Passover, the inner spiritual point of the festival is deeply relevant to every human being.

Miracles do not happen in a vacuum. In order to be worthy of seeing the hand of G-d over nature, we must prepare the appropriate vessel for it. When our ego is bloated and inflated, we take up all the space and leave no space in our consciousness for the presence of the Creator. By removing the layers of pride and self-importance, we are able to truly connect with G-d.

We often are enslaved to our fears, negative thought patterns, and prejudices. Our soul is often imprisoned within walls of selfishness. Pesach, which means to jump, to leave the current level to a new place of true connection with the Creator. This is the time when we receive strength to jump from the internal “Egypt”, meaning narrow straits, and are invited to leap over to an entirely different level of spiritual freedom.

Usually, we are afraid to put our ego aside because we think we will lose ourselves. But this is a mistake. Pesach teaches us the complete opposite: It is when we release the ego that we find ourselves – our true and divine self. Our essence is not our habits or our pride; our essence is the soul the Creator placed within us.

The message of spiritual liberation is a central pillar of the Seven Noahide Commandments; it empowers the soul to exit its own narrow limitations and connect with the Divine Essence. A Noahide who embraces this inner point transcends the boundaries of their nature and chooses goodness out of humility—thereby becoming an active partner in the process of global redemption.
