A long time ago, G-d told people not to worship idols.

An idol is something people pray to instead of G-d.

G-d is the only true G-d.

Only He made the whole world.

He made the sky.

He made the trees.

He made the animals.

He made you and me.

One day, Levi and his mother were walking.

They saw a big old statue.

Levi asked, “Do people pray to that statue?”

His mother said, “Some people do.”

Levi looked at the statue.

“It cannot see,” he said.

“It cannot hear.”

“It cannot help anyone.”

His mother smiled.

“That is right,” she said.

“We pray only to G-d.”

“G-d hears every prayer.”

“G-d is alive.”

“G-d is always with us.”

Levi was happy.

He knew there is only one G-d.

He wanted to love and obey Him every day.

A Lesson is: There is only one true G-d, and only He is worthy of our prayers.
