Brazenness is not always wrong. Indeed, the only way to be a true Jew and a righteous non-Jew who wants to serve God is to develop this boldness and stubbornness.
In these times we are inundated with negative media about Israel, the world no longer sees the difference between justice and injustice, between right and wrong, between good and evil.
Or as Isaiah 5: 20 says:
ה֣וֹי הָאֹמְרִ֥ים לָרַ֛ע ט֖וֹב וְלַטּ֣וֹב רָ֑ע שָׂמִ֨ים חֹ֤שֶׁךְ לְאוֹר֙ וְא֣וֹר לְחֹ֔שֶׁךְ שָׂמִ֥ים מַ֛ר לְמָת֖וֹק וּמָת֥וֹק לְמָֽר׃ {ס}
“Ah,
Those who call evil good
And good evil;
Who present darkness as light
And light as darkness;
Who present bitter as sweet
And sweet as bitter!”
we pray and trust in G-d that He will save His people, but the nations say (psalm 115:2) : where then is their God, where is He who saves?
לָ֭מָּה יֹאמְר֣וּ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אַיֵּה-נָ֝֗א אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃
Let the nations not say,
“Where, now, is their G-d?”
Then it is time to remain stubborn, to remain steadfast, to be brazzeles. G-d will save his people! What is straight is straight, what is crooked is crooked. Justice will celebrate blessing.
